Rep'd.
In the interests of fairness, Marino has now offered to replace all the frames.
Lets hope these ones are built properly. And he has a new thermal treating system which makes the bikes stronger.

Not what I need to be reading with a Hija arriving any day now!
I dont think the frame being cheap is an excuse, bottom of the range halfords bikes are aligned better than those examples above.

No worries Sean
That video compares heat treated cro-mo with soft steel.
Your frame is cro-mo and it's much stronger than soft steel. Also, anybody having issues with one of my frames should contact me so we can find a solution.

Thanks for the reply Ale. I understand the video, was more worried about the pics and stories of misaligned rear triangles! Customs have had my frame since Tuesday, hopefully it'll pass soon and all my worries will end

Cool, but worrying at the same time. I'd rather he spend time making sure basic stuff is right first.

Yeah I don't pay any sales tax from source when making orders but have to pay when importing anything over 200NOK (24 quid). I've heard there's ways around this but obviously wouldn't try defraud the system of any dues…

Halford bikes aren't handmade though Shane. ^^
I was going to say that I spoke to Alej about him working with Marino and that he's had good results from him. He has a good working relationship and it's encouraged us to work with Marino again.
He has a warranty so it should be fine.
I'd like to see the frames checked before they're sent out, but I think Marino is upping his game now. -

Just trying to finalise my design.
Ryan made my trail amazing and I'd really like to replicate the handling.
The HT is 70° and trail 69°
I understand that the holy grail is in the 60s, but this must depend on the. HT and what's best for that angle.
New HT angle is 74 so I need to be careful It's not jackknifey. It's currenty at 43mm but I'm thinking it could be more resposive? -

What are you doing with the NS-Oak?
Can't help with geo, my brain forgot it all whilst I wasn't looking.

Two options: 1) Slacken off the head angle a bit, or 2) have less offset/rake on your fork. Both these actions will have the effect of increasing trail.
As you say a few posts up, your current geometry includes a 70' head angle, yet this results in a trail you're very happy with. In this new instance, you seem to be taking the approach that the Holy Grail is to have a 74' head angle, and you're now trying to shoe-horn in all the rest of the geometry.
There's a good post from Glowbike somewhere that explains the relationships between trail, head angle and handling, and he suggests that (particularly for smaller frames) you should work out your desired trail, and then let the head angle be derived from that. -

Thanks C.
I like the trail I have with the current ht angle but would like a more aggressive ht angle whilst keeping the same handling. That's the point of the new frame. The designer took my current geo and made it more aggressive.
My thought was that we could improve on the 43mm trail.Basically, if my old ht is 70° with a trail of 68mm, what would feel the same (or better) with a 74° ht?
