  • Fuck that, running 120mm right now.

    Also, flat pedals are boss.

    Puny earthling... 130mm...

    Flats4lyf!

  • I'm running a 110, on a 490mm TT. Homebrew bike, didn't have long enough tubing for proper weight distribution.

    ftfy.

  • That Victoire rider is pretty small, but I played against him a few times at Grief Camp last summer and the wheels did not get in the way of his game.

  • 160mm cranks, that's why.

  • And he knew hot to ride them.

  • Who's hot?

  • You are ;-)

  • Fuck that, running 120mm right now.

    Also, flat pedals are boss.

    what?

  • Loads of polo bikes/frames from VeloLucuma

    http://www.velolucuma.com/gallery.html

    Made by Marino.
Wondering if its worth giving him another chance after all of the frames here were so badly out, a couple couldn't run brakes.
These look good. Apparently he's looking at heat treatment to make stronger, lighter frames.

  • Mine was fine.

  • Mine is better

  • Mine was terrible.

  • I guess we can all agree on inconsistency then?

  • Bad reviews > fewer orders > less busy > higher quality of work > good reviews

  • It wouldn't be so bad if he offered to fix the problem, mistakes do happen. Not being able to run a brake is pretty bad.

  • Does he not check the frames before sending the frames to paint? That's shit hot shockingly bad alignment

  • Are they all custom jobs?

  • Rupert's was fine.

  • Those ones look bad though. How's your Milwaukee?

  • Fine.

  • My Hija de la Coneja rear alignment was badly out (similar to pics above), but I'm FBO anyway. Apart from that it rides great.

You get what you pay for. I'd prob go for an Oak/Max Power/14 if i were ever to upgrade.

  • Yep. Max's first was terrible, seat-tube about 2 degrees off vertical in the lateral direction, pulling the rest of the frame out of alignment. He did replace it, but his response is what got me.

We measured it with string, a ruler and an angle-finder, sent him photo's of us measuring and his response was "I don't have the tools to measure for that" WTF?

  • I guess it's a buyers' market for Marinos right now.

  • It's true you get what you pay for but Marino has been doing this for long enough now and should know better. He must have made a fair amount of polo bikes now.
Wouldn't you check it before you send it out? Plus if you're providing a service then you should do the job properly.

They are all custom jobs for Jetnikoff Bicycle Co. Will has finished with Marino because when he complained about the above (and more), Marino didn't answer.

I've spoke to Marino who's saying it was a communication error and he'll sort it, so we'll see. I'd like to give him business because Wills frames are fantastic, but not if he can't do better than he is.

  • good way to use a tape measure ^
