That is pretty spinny Todd.
I just moved to 34x19, it feels really good and way more stable.
I also added some rake to my forks (30mm) over a month ago. Again it feels great.
Since playing in Seattle I have been trying to make loads of changes to be more stable on my bike (lower saddle, wider bars, longer mallet) and focus on a smarter game.
It is really just pseudo observation, but it seems to me that if you move in a less frantic manner then you can think and assess the game more calmly also.

Same here I think. Spin to win.

Unlike most of the people over here, I think spinning hard can make you faster on the court.
But it also encourages a stop and start style, instead of keeping and building momentum.
That is the main reason I made the shift, because both of my team mates over here are running tougher gears and I wanted to be on the same level as them. Becoming a unit instead of me just changing the tempo all the time and resorting to dashes up the left.
Horses for courses innit.

Shit, we should get horses.

Make them do all the pedalling.

Living on instant noodles, he said. More likely to be from the tonne of cash spent on parts, no? ;)
Awesome bike, dude!
Luckily I was able to EP most of the stuff, including the frame-set. The meager wages of a currently winter time mechanic and machinist's apprentice don't exactly line my pockets. I guess I like a taller gear, like emab said I play more of a flowing game, less stops. Though it makes wheelie turns more difficult. On some courts over here even this feels spinny to me (think full size ice hockey courts). Thanks for the compliments, I love this damn bike.

Rupert's been telling me and Todd this for years. It's only just started to sink in.

Low-gear super-spinny endo-pivoting players are so mobile on the court that they end up obstructing their own team mates IME. Less mobile players focus more on holding the ball and distributing to other areas of the court, instead of dribbling there. Of course the really great players have the all the bike skills to play the former game but develop the strategy to keep it under wraps and play the smart game that conserves energy and keeps the mind focussed.

Thanks for that video spoons. Always liked watching him play. He made the Italians this year at the euros. A shame though he couldnt do anything in the final against the Spaniards. No fault of his, mind.
