Can I get some feedback on this please? Switching from MTB to a polo-specific frame.
Thinking about using Kojaks 26 x 1,35 but also want to be able to use the 2,0 version.
- Trail 66mm
- Mechanical trail 63mm

Looks great. I doubt you'll use 2.o tyres once you've tried 1.35. So bare that in mind as it'll affect your BB height if you've set the BB height for 2.0.
I think 20mm BB drop is good on 1.35 tyres. But it's all subjective, and depends on what cranks you're running, which will affect Q factor and therefore increase or decrease the likelihood of pedal-strike when leaning over.
I think you're frame looks good though, but I'd go 61 trail and 20 bb drop, the rest I can't really comment on as we differ so much in height. You want to speak to Ryan, but I don't know how much he reads the forum.

How long a stem would you need for this bike?
I'm running 45mm trail with a 120mm stem whereas shop14 builds tend to use 0-rake forks for 80mm+ trail and people use <60mm stems on them. As I understand it, a typical Oak build would be about halfway between those two setups.

In my opinion you should decide on your front-centre (as short as you can get away with) and go from there.

F+F are £79 on eBay...

Normal trail 61 or mechanical?

Normal people only ever measure trail along the floor.

A 73mm BB might be better with a 135 rear...
And re: BB drop, Snoops is spot on. Mine dropped too much when I went to 1.35. -

I was thinking of using a MTB Hub with two sprockets on the back (getting to court gear + polo gear).
Is there any real benefit/difference in having 120 at the back and using a singlespeed hub / kit / whatever?A 73mm BB might be better with a 135 rear...
Because of the chainline, I assume?

And tyre clearance...

• #9039
73 BB shell makes it easier to get crank clearance and tyre clearance without drastic crimping or bending in your chainstays.

Do shop 14 do 0 rake? I thought that was just a Cambridge thing.
When I did mine I started with front centre and effective top tube as things I'd measured and wanted to keep and then built the rest around that. -

120 spacing gives you less ankle bashing and will work out a little lighter. I run 120 with cheap planet X hubs to have 40" freewheel for polo and 60" fixed for going longer distances. Threaded hubs are older technology, but generally it's a cheaper approach and you can still end up with buttery smooth bearings and the use of (awesome) trials freewheels.

My Q factor is quite narrow at the heels, and I found that with 135 rear ends, my (admittedly big) shoes get caught on the disc-mounts on some of the 14 Bikes.

yeh i did at first and sometimes still do a littlle, but i'm used to it now. i wanted 135 so i could buy stock wheels and use mtb hubs. only motivation. although all my wheels are handbuilt.

Final draft for the Velo Lucuma frame.
If you guys could take another look at it, it would be greatly appreciated.Seattube now 27,2 as I don´t want to use BMX seatposts, also the reason why the seattube is now offset.
Sticking with 135 rear spacing so won´t have to buy a new rear wheel.

Until you can afford braze ons / play in the rain...
One calliper...pft!
Just a heads-up:
There seems to be a few folk in polo riding ergo-style grips (the ones with the flange to rest the heel of your palm on) - if anyone's been thinking of trying them, but been put off by the high prices some brands charge, you can get them in Aldi today for £4.99.
