  • Erhm i aint sure if i am in the right forum but ill give it a try here..
I am going to build a bike for polo and riding in the winther. ive been looking at the Volume cutter v5 and the Volume trasher anyone got any thoughts about those to frames? or maybe somme ideas for other frames?? price around 180-200 pounds.
it just need to have quit big tire clearance.

  • I'm selling my fully-built-up, ready-to-polo Pomp, anyone know someone interested at £250? I'll need to chuck risers/stem/Rik lever on but it's all ready to go bar some pedals...

  • And here's the bike that replaced it... Oak Cycles awesomeness... The blue bits were stupid cheap, that's the only reason they're on there, I hate blue... Copped a few sweet hook-ups here and there so it wasn't as expensive a build as I feared it would be... Rides like a fucking dream, desperate to get on court with it all of the time... Thanks, Ryan... x

  • How does it feel to push ;)

  • You sure that's not John H's bike? ;)

if you wanna play polo all you need is a frame you don't care that much about. don need to b a trick frame. brakes are optional. some play well without and some use them so brake option is useful.
you probably would do well with a frame found in the gutter. it doesn't matter whether it's a trick frame or not, what does is can you ride it or not.

  • Anna's frame got bent on the way back from London.

If you fly, please check your bike in the baggage hall, I know it's a pain, but really worth it.

But in general, I'm going to try avoiding flying with my bike as much as possible, train, boat, whatever. And a van can't come soon enough.

Oh, and have a good relationship with your framebuilder, often you need to get an invoice for repair within 7 days of the flight.

Axl have been selling marino frames on ebay (Nesbit, Angelo and others have them).

But they've now launched as a proper brand, in partnership with Marino.

    Nice looking coupled bike:

    I've always been lucky flying.

This time round they told me I'd have to sign a disclaimer to say if it got damaged, they weren't to blame. They never made me sign though, I have no idea what would have happened if it were damaged.

  • blah blah blah

So you get a bent seat tube to keep the seat back as much as possible, then slam the seat forward in the clamp. Why?

  • Oh, it's cos you got a trendy stem, and still want to be able to reach the bars without putting your back out.

  • I wanted it to be based on one of the HH grass polo bikes... Still messing with the set-up tbh, first changes that need to be made (when I can be bothered): Saddle needs to go back a bit, stem needs to come up a bit, back wheel needs to be tighter into the seattube, chainline is a coupla mm out... Rides great as it is tho', really awesome handling, quick(er than my Pomp), stable, very comfortable etc. 10/10

Hardware is in place, now we need to work on a myriad of software issues...

  • Joey looking good.... but id worry about the peripheries.

  • 700c for fun

because he wanted to have a hipstertastic bike of course

  • but bike polo is post-hipster now.

  • Shorter chainstays?

  • Bit of a bender?
