You crashed into me (twice) about a fortnight ago... Delayed concussion/short term memory loss?

In the case of Josh for example, he did not order the 14 polo bike.
Josh ordered what he thought would make a better polo bike than the 14polo bike. He didnt like it and now he has a replacement which is made from the spec sheet and is the same geo as Luca, emmet, dt, me and he likes it ... go figure.Don't think this is a very accurate statement, yes I came to 14 because I wanted a polo bike with a few alterations from the one that I had seen Brendan riding (currently emmets bike) but I the things that I wanted to change, wider clearance in the rear and a disc mount were the things that were wrong, so it really has very little to do with the geo. I really loved my old polo bike and wanted it to work out, but the stuff that I specifed was wrong and that is why I got a replacement. I would have been happy with the bike if it had worked out.
I like the new one, but is not really want I wanted, but was the easiest comperimise in the situation I was in and worked out the best for both me and John.I don't think anyone is slagging off 14, I think they make great bikes when they are right, it is just unfortunate that a couple have not been the way that the customer wanted. I would defiantly still and do recommend there bikes polo or other.

You changed the headtube angle and the rear angles though didnt you? That is what i meant.
-
• #8956
I also think they make great bikes which is why I want one! Like I said to John, I want this to be the best bike 14 have made, and I hope we'll get there when Lee returns next week.
-
• #8957
Changed the head tube angle, but not the rear end, which was the thing that was wrong.

Is the frame and fork geometry of the 14 readily available or is it top secret?
I'd love to check it out. -
• #8959
Secret! Actually 14 should just offer a standard sizing with a choice of dropouts and brake tabs. Rake if needed. Easy...

I miss my ESB, that was a lovely bike.

Roll a fat one, sit back and just think of the awsome polo you'll be playing when it's all sorted.

I have run my front disc brake cable through my headtube for mad barspinz. should i route the cable from the lever over the bar or under it? I just want it out of the way as much as possible.
-
• #8964
It'd cause a tight bend running it under, meaning more resistance on the pull. This said it would be minimal and the cable would be more out of the way I suppose...

Depends, PTFE cable + PTFE outer + GT85http://rover.ebay.com/roverimp/1/710-53481-19255-0/1?pub=5574889051&toolid=10001&campid=5336525415&mpt=1904192http://rover.ebay.com/roverimp/1/710-53481-19255-0/1?ff3=2&pub=5574889051&toolid=10001&campid=5336525415&item=380437910740&mpt=9135740 (less than 3 quid for a 400ml can? bargain!!!) should give you a pretty smooth pull if you get it right.

over the top in my opinion.

• #8967
Brakes needs to match the frame innit? :)
-
• #8968
Drill a hole in the bar and run it through the bar, stem and down the steerer? Just a thought..... run mine over the top :->
-
• #8969
Over the top it is....
-
• #8970
WTF, tl;dr. where are thy pictures of polo bikes?
-
• #8971
cough
It's not finished yet, it still needs some really crass stickers or a horrendous wheelcover to be a proper polo bike. -
• #8972
I like that, quite a high seat though, is that intentional?
-
• #8973
The man has long legs...

Legs that go all the way up.
