Anyone after middleburn x-type cranks? I just got these from on-one.
They ARE 4-arm 104bcd, ignore the pictures. Bargain.

Yep, that's a great deal, it's where I got my uno ones from.
-

If they were shorter I'd be very tempted.
Wish they could zap up some 165's for me. -

I just found a crack in my drive-side dropout. They are Campag ones with the triangular cut-out and only one 'arm' has snapped. Was thinking of getting Ryan to fit me some replacements. Does anyone have any recommendations for strong track style dropouts? I had a look on Ceeway and these cast ones look pretty good:
Also, I was planning to keep riding it for a while but is this a bad idea?

I just found a crank in my drive-side dropout...
You need to keep your crank bolts tightened... -

Ryan can advise you on replacing a dropout and the benefits of one dropout over another (strength, weight, dropout length, minor tweaks to the rear triangle size, etc).
If I were you I'd ride it too, but be aware that if it breaks "properly" then you're likely to damage the stays.

Perks will probably fix it for a couple of beers.

I'll take it down to the workshop and see what he advises. Thanks

On your polo bike? If so, just accept that it's dead and get a Marinopompino like everyone else.

Never. It will remain in polo bike service until I get too old to play

But it's a baby blue fixeh! Long live hipster bike. Y u not at Souths polo then? Might as well kill it then fix it :)

Fix it, then hold a sweepstake on which part will snap next.

Lest we forget stu's comment in the Birmingham polo thread about the durability of his bicycle....
Maybe get a 70s Dawes frame. I hear this guy in Birmingham has one and it's lasted the longest out of anyone in his scene...
Didn't it break?
in a very minor way that could be repaired for 20 quid. now it'll last for ever!

I haven't got a job yet, will hopefully get that covered today. Then I'll be playing polo after work pretty often
