Meh I'm not so sure if they do. Its fun but a longer wheelbase, separate brakes and room for fatter tyres would be more comfortable for me! Polo gearing is lovely in the snow though

That is not a snowbike

what makes a good polo bike; gearing, weight, wheel size, big frame-small frame, ect. -
• #8134
Easiest one - gearing - something around 36x21. Then you can go bigger/smaller from there when you've found your preference.
imo 26" is god for polo. Others have mentioned the limited choice of good polo tyre in 26"
Frame size - I'd say 1 size smaller than what you'd normally ride. If you normally ride a 56cm frame try a 54cm. For this I'd say try riding other people's bikes to find something that works. Most people won't mind you having a go to find out what's best for you. -

There should be some games going on at London Fields in the morning tomorrow. Check the NE polo thread.

36 x 21 is a big gear, especially if you're not running skinny tyres. It's all relative to court size of course...

• #8139
It's what I use on 1.75" tyres, I end up spinning but don't seem to lose out on he acceleration despite the bigger gear and the tank of a bike. HTFU much?
-
• #8140
Pah, mine's 32x21 on 1.35" tyres, learn to spin ffs!
Coyote's feeling sweet btw, forks have loosened up a bit so I now have about 3cm travel, but the springy ring has come off the right leg's seal.
Alu jump bike = stiff + light + looks the dog's bollocks!

Yeah lol, the black Schwinn will have its rear shortened as part of replacing the T-bodges with sliding dropouts. Didn't get nutmegged much on Thursday night but that was just the first outing.

O'rly? Would love to see you in goal someday.

I played goal most of last season on the Schwinn, which wasn't a particularly short frame. This one's wheelbase is only an inch or so longer. Back in your box, Beagle.

• #8145
I could give you some aerotubes as well as the dropouts to give you that winning goaliebike
-
• #8146
That would involve a bit more welding than is worth doing on a bike like that. Get some practice and build a jig!

An inch is a lot in polo ;)

No it's not, but it is indeed all about the extra inch.
