I tell customers everyday that tread makes no difference on road/hybrid tyres, but most of them still want something with tread. I'm obviously not persuasive enough. Compound, profile, pressure all matter though, obviously.
Panaracer RiBmos tend to last me around 6 months of twice-weekly polo, but I don't skid too much. They are mid-weight, I'd say.
Does anyone know of a 26 x 2.3" that weighs around 500-600g? There are a few mtb tyres around that weight/size, but I can't find anything slick...

I'm thinking about getting a Mister X frame. I wanted to make a few modification and thanks to Jono for advice have made a bike CAD.
http://www.bikecad.ca/1318601783632
I've pulled in the rear end by 20mm, dropped the BB by 10m, slackened the seat tube angle by 1 degree.
What do people think?
The reason for the rear end not working is because I will be running a smaller (1.5") tyre on the rear. I left it with the larger tyre size to give a better indication or the trail (am I right about that).
Cheers

^Tim, out of interest, why have you done this? Are Mister X willing to accept modifications??

They are, and at the same price. The turnaround time becomes 40 days rather than 30 though.

Planet X have a complete (M) Pompine knocked down by £150 to £449, would need a little tweaking to poloify it, but pretty cheap... http://www.planet-x-bikes.co.uk/i/q/YBCL114169/pompino-urban-medium-chocolate-brown

Have they every actually sold the pomp as the original price of £599.99? I don't recall ever seeing it.

thanks
I've just bought a pair of Kojaks from Planet-X for £10 each, plan on running them sub-50 psi.
