Promax do the one me and ry have its for road or cantis and is 8pounds from velorution.
You can apparently get them in town for cheaper, anyone nearby velorution that could pop by and confirm?

I went in there after I saw Ryan's set-up and they didn't have any in stock... That was ages ago tho'...
I may be pulling the trigger on a Paul Duplex later today, if that happens someone can have mine for a few bottles of cidre (sic)...

A few bottles of cidre (sic)...
Yes, cider with a spelling like that will make you sick.

Anyone used carbon mtb forks? I assume they'll just break?
-
• #6806
hayden from cambridge has been using carbon road forks since January ish. still fine.
-
• #6807
Seabass' carbon forks snapped at Mitch when seattle were first over in London a couple of years ago.
-
• #6808
I remember that!
-
• #6809
Maybe old news, I've been away for a while... Polo Bruisers now shipping...
-
• #6810
Canti mounts could do with being on the other side. No disc brake option?
-
• #6811
canti-brakes on the inside of the seat stay never makes sense, makes the brakes weaker. Canti's on the back of the forks makes sense, they should have done that.

and what's up with that gusset in the crumple zone, it looks whack.
-
• #6813
That's what I meant, should have specified. By the sound of it the bruiser trick fork is identical apart from the canti mounts. Might be better to buy the trick fork and use clamp on mounts.
Also, if keeping the rear wheel tight to the BB is so important why not use an eccentric BB?
-
• #6815
Why WOULD you use an eccentric BB? Heavy, and a nightmare to adjust, especially when they are full of grit and grub. It HAS horizontal dropouts.
-
• #6816
No 26" option?
-
• #6817
on the plus side the track ends look like faces
-
• #6818
What makes it a 'polo' Bruiser? Slightly shorter top tube and canti mounts?
-
• #6819
Yeah, there's no disc-tabs, not bendy seat-tube, and the warranty doesn't cover "competitive use".
-
• #6820
I want this.
-
• #6821
And it's $210 more than a normal Bruiser right? I don't get it.
^That is nice.
-
• #6822
and it's only about £80 cheaper than a custom made Ti frame. Fools.
-
• #6823
I guess they saw how much the Joust sold for and wanted in.
-
• #6824
Is that the promax lever ppl are using and will it work with normal V-Brakes?
Just got one in the post... backchannel on eBay via Taiwan. Same, but with no parking brake. Looks quite nice.
The cut-down crosspiece bars on my Kona are no good... not enough mounting room. Anybody have some riser bars, 25.4" pref, 50cm+ if poss, inch or two rise? Pretty please?
-
• #6825
50cm+ wtf?
I just rang them up, no reply...
