I saw a Pearson polo-ish bike at the Cycle Show today. Looked promising (curvy seattube, short wheelbase and £250 for the frame). I forgot the name of it though (it included '10'). Can't find it on their website.

scratch that: http://www.pearsoncycles.co.uk/store/content/10/Blog/
I just wish it had cantilever mounts. Looks a bit like a grass polo bike too, I guess.

Intriguing... :]

A few people are still using dual pivot road brakes for polo so I wouldn't imagine they're that bad with the right pads.

Pearson "10 Goal polo bike"
"10 Goal, meanwhile, is designed for bike polo, named after the title given to the highest level polo players. Again made from Reynolds steel, it has a reversible hub so you can ride fixed or free, with pricing starting from £249 (frame only) and £599 (full build)."

It looked like a nice frame/fork in the flesh, but why oh why no disc or v mounts?
It's not on their website yet, so perhaps pre-production. Maybe the LHBPA could lobby them...

Met a guy from Pearson at a school session and they just opened a new shop down the road from me. I'll ask some questions (I think that frame looks pretty sweet, not necessarily for polo but in general, you know, it looks nice).

I see nothing about it designed for polo, except maybe the curved seat tube, am I missing something?
Pearsons do made to measure frames too don't they? If so asking them for that frame but with v brake bosses or 26 inch wheels wouldn't be too hard for them would it?

polo = new mass trend.
2020 there will be a hollywood movie about us. It will be shit.

I guess it's the equivalent to all the "track" bikes you see, which will clearly never be used on the track.

I'm just seeing Jono's bike, with a hint more fugly.

I'm a -10 goal player, where's my bike?
-
• #6775
they'll realease the hardcourt version in a week or two, itll be called the '5 goal' depending on the vote
What did you do? Down tube is normally just the result of other (arguably more important) decisions.
