My Pompino has a crack in the chain stay. Where the crimping is to give tyre clearance. Josh said this is where his cracked too. Hmmmm...
I have no idea what to get next. In the mean time, pray the stay sticks together.
That's such bullshit. I feel like I'm riding a goddamn time bomb at the rate these are breaking.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, also noted that Alex from TdC has the same prob... So is that 3 Pomps with cracks on the crimp?

I have a Ti fork for sale, it's flexy as fuck, and horrible to ride, £180 ono.
-
• #5910
sell it to a trickster they'll enjoy the lightness

Yeah, good shout. It would be a great fork, if you're not using a front brake, it's lovely to ride on the the road and I imagine off road too, as it's very forgiving, but for polo, it's way too flexy. The new Inspired Team fork I put on there is awsome, so stiff, and made my headtube angle more like 74-74.5º and it handles so dreamy!

Mrak?
-
• #5914
also possible interest, what size?
-
• #5915
medium of course.
-
• #5916
is that a large medium or a small medium?
-
• #5917
it's an XL frame with all the benefits of a medium.
-
• #5918
so an extra medium with a side of large?
-
• #5919
medium sides with an XL top?
I basically asked for it to be same size as my XL pompino. But tweaked for polo.

Can anyone point me in the direction of where I can get the bolts for Avid BB7's that attach it to the frame? And the ones that attache V brake's to the fork whilst I'm at it.

Maybe not just a pomp problem, I broke my frame this morning, at the drive side crimp.
I remember someone, might have been object, talking about the forces in polo (torque?) being high because of the gearing, wondering if this extra strain would be conducted mOre through the chain stays?

Anyone know what size brake cable adjusters you need for a Promax dual lever? I took two different ones off my cross bike to try them out and both were too narrow to even catch the threads, how many sizes can their be?!
The adjusters from a Brompton or an Odyssey London mod will work... BC are getting some more in soon (I'm told)...
To answer my own question, the dual lever uses M6 adjusters. Bon Velo have them for 50p, or eBay is cheap too.

pompinos do seem to have especially thin chainstays and seatstays, and wishbone!
maybe for absorbing bumps on long tours? not so good for huge shocks from polo.

Awesome knowledge DT, thank you. M6 X 20 Just a regular bolt from a hardware store then.
Wasn't object talking about the tension on the chainring though?
Might have been a different conversation, sorry.EDIT FOR FASCINATING INFO: V brake bolts are M6x25 and M6x16
Limit screws are M3x8
