Here's my Polo hack; it's nothing special just an old Universal BSO MTB that had been abondoned which I pulled out of ditch back in February this year.
Initally I resprayed it Caterpillar Construction Equipment Sand Yellow, but in a week or two I will respray it RAL 1028 Mellon Yellow and add a few Gloss Black Zebra stripes to match the front wheel disc.

What's the best tyre size for 26ers?
Does any one want to buy a halo tornado wheel on a halo hub spaced with a 16t freewheel? -

A little help, please?

I know what I said on there, but on a 2nd thought, are these a good idea for gearing up a polo bike? Have been looking all over the Internet and opinions are slightly confusing.

if you're riding freewheel they'll be fine.

And have a Spanish BB?
-
• #5891
I ride freewheel, yes. Got it yesterday, it weights a ton as expected, but seems ok. I am looking at the difference between Spanish and Euro BBs. I think they are both fine... maybe doing a degree in bicycle instead of art would be more useful.

Whats the deal with BMX cranks/BBs? How are they different to normal cranks/BBs? Basically, how do you put BMX cranks on a normal road frame.

if your frame is english 68mm thread, just buy a euro bmx bb, its exactly the same.
bmx cranks are normally 3 piece, with a spindle going through the bb as opposed to the shimano square taper style...

I got the BMX cranks only because they are the right size for polo - 25T, and they were cheap and cheerful, ish, but they are heavy. So I am keeping my eyes out for something lighter, but you know with things like this, it's always a bit of luck. And since I have only just started out, I don't want to spend too much on it. This is my reason, but I think some people like the cranks being a wider or something? I am not sure.
The BBs have different ways of installing, A bit more annoying to install from what I can see on the Internet, and require a bit more maintenance, I think? Have yet to try myself.
I am sure someone else would be able to provide a more sensible answer than me.
I feel good now I have learned something new!

My Pompino has a crack in the chain stay. Where the crimping is to give tyre clearance. Josh said this is where his cracked too. Hmmmm...
I have no idea what to get next. In the mean time, pray the stay sticks together.

Can they be shimmed to fit seat stays and/or blade style forks?
