  • Ray... I found you a new polo bike:

As well as looking really cool with it's "chopper" style seat it is great for boosting the confidence of the more nervous rider.

  • Have been using my MTB with forks on backwards for 2 sessions now and it still looks stupid.
Took a little getting used to like any new steering setup.
Leonard Zinn has an article about steering geo. where he mentions building a TT fork with negative rake.

Benefits are: less BB gap, easier front wheel reacharounds, shorter wheelbase means sharper turns, and more trail means more stability (like a castor).

Now does anyone have a SHORT ahead stem going, a cheap BMX stem ideally?
    22.2 or 25.4 are both fine, but I can't afford more than a 5er.

I also need any old Shimano cassettes I can break apart for some cog options.
    Cheers.

  • Look at their complete 'fixie' bikes...

  • Ha! Unipac trick frames.

  • different, as the frame is gussetted.

  • strongh enough for a polo bike? but really cheap!

  • Yeah they're gusseted but obviously by the same maker as unipack.
They'll be all over the city soon.

Though still might be decent enough for polo.

Bad unipack feedback was generally about the dodgy components.
How bad could the frame be?

  • ed zacchery!! 4130 chromo.

  • You've got to give their marketing team credit though, they've got in just before the market gets flooded with bmx companies releasing trick frames

  • One team should all get one, unipak trick frame polo team ftw!

  • Unipack sponsorship.
    Forget Gorilla!

    C'mon, Andy. It's you really, isn't it?

  • Ha! I saw that too. ;-)

  • I've been rumbled.

i have to pay 170$ incl shipping, that's really cheap.
but i'm not sure with the quality regarding the unipack-reasons...

  • the pologuard chainring is definitely worth it! got mine right before ECMC and love them! sturdy as hell even after I have lost one of the five chainringbolts..

  • these bikes are nice!

  • The mini-bike on that unipack / airwalk site could be interesting for polo:

  • oooh, looks like that vintage bike I posted ages ago which was designed for hardcourt polo - shame directorchan hasn't put up a price yet...

On a side note - am I the proud owner of the worlds first Titanium polobike?

  • Show pony.

until I dont see a pic I wouldnt believe it ;)

  • the unipack / airwalk are just ripping off (exactly) the geometry of other frame makers

    the trick bike:

is ripped off from the MKE Bruiser

    the smll wheeled circus bike:

is copied from the **Sillgey Piccolo

Buy the real things is you're going to buy one of them

  • Buy the real things is you're going to buy one of them

    Word.

  • Well spotted dt.
The first one could be coincidence, but the Sillgey geometry looks EXACTLY cloned.
