Hi guys, I'm almost there but trying to find a few last bits & pieces for the quick and dirty polo build.
http://www.lfgss.com/thread63239.html
It's basiscally cranks, chainring, seatpost (27.2mm), tyres, saddle and maybe a freewheel.

could help with saddle i think ... will look at home. maybe pm my sieve of a mind tonight to find out.

Damn, put some tyres in the bin at Peckham last week. Wonder how often the empty them.
Pretty sure LMNH have some on a regular basis.
There's a 16/17t freewheel on the wheel I'm giving you which will be fine if you have micro cranks.
Don't you need a brakeset too? I have a long pull lever you can have also. -

I'm checking LMNH for tyres but normally they can be dead already and I'm also going up to my old flat because I dumped some there a while back. We'll see...

Sandy you back in London then? Awesome! I've got a square taper mtb triple chainset you can have (I think its 22t,32t,42t so should be able to sort something out with the right bb), maybe some tyres too. Just give me a shout if you want them.

Heap back down, living out in Southend so evenings are spent on a train but hopefully will be playing most weekends.
Mtb chain set sounds good, can it run with just the 22t or would it be 32t? Doesn't make a massive difference tbh. Tyres would also be great. I'll be at newt on sat or Sunday or possibly both, I'll let you know nearly the weekend.

Just been thinking about the whole hydraulic thing.
Your standard Shimano deore lever has a piston designed to output enough fluid to move just two pistons.
The Shimano Saint on the other hand has a piston designed to move four pistons.
How much is the difference in displacement in each lever. If a lever can be found that does have displacement enough to work with a pair of two piston calipers, you could then go down the route of getting calipers which have different sized pistons between them so that you don't keep locking the back or pulling endo's all over the shop.
If I had a bit of spare money I would go about pulling apart a set of levers to see how difficult adjusting things would be.

the key question is... who wants to go hydraulic?
-
• #4775
number of pots on the caliper bears no relation whatsoever to how much fluid is moved. There is NO way at present to make a double hydraulic lever.
^ that's just Todds outfit for the big day.
