It's just a polo bike, B, no biggie... 33/22 is well spinny, innit? Rode it into work for the first time in its new configuration, looked like a div... < More so than usual...

I've recently been testing out the Marathon Supreme.
Very nice on the front and super light.
On the rear I hit canvas after 3 days of polo.
However, when I removed the tyre there was still a lot of thickness between the canvas and the last layer which surprised me. I have not gone through this yet as I put an old marathon on.
I'm interested to see what's in this layer.
Marathon Racer up next... -

Since taking marathon plus off my bike and putting normal marathons on I have noticed the significant weight difference in my acceleration and bunny hop.

The 47c Conti Touring Plus on the front of mine at the moment has made wheelie goals rather difficult.
I'm going back to 38c or so, big wheels aren't fun.

My front end pops up on its own too much. Maybe a big ass front tyre would help. When all of the acceleration goes to trying to flip me off the back of my bike, maybe it's worth adding a bit of weight.
Although, 47 up front, 38 in the back would a) mess with the handling, and b) look stupid.
Hmmm...

Maybe you need a layforward seatpost Mrak

Ha, also so ugly. And I can imagine my knees smashing into my bars (although I don't really know how much room I have).

I figured. Still made me laugh.
And also, contemplate doing it.

i wondered about this last night riding the 14 bike. longer stem too?

Mark: Layforward seatpost plus 5" riser bars and you'll be ok I reckon?
The less weight on the front wheel the better really? More nimble? Get out of the saddle to "power down"?

plain old marathons on the rear get shredded pretty quick, from my experience

i'm with you Max, at front fine, but not at rear

because its a pompino erin and everyone's got one, so when one comes up and you need to be part of a crew, you just snap it up.
#ireallylikeitactuallyjoeyi think i've forgotten how tall that railing was.. but in my memory it is small, any bike smaller than it would be crazy small.
i've consulted pictures, it's not that small..
nice bicycle joey!

it was the same size as his cream one! -

Q; Forgetting the chain-line, what are the chances of the same chain fitting on a 24t & 32t chain ring with average sized drop outs?
-
• #3974
IME Next to nil on normal dropouts... I managed to go from 40t-33t on the Pompino but that's got pretty long dropouts...
-
• #3975
Bums. That's 7t on long drop outs, so 8t on average not very likely.
Cheers TS.
