You can get metal ones from Ison Distribution iirc. I actually prefer the plastic ones on an all-weather commuter bike, and therefore my polobike.

Anyone tried a halo courier berlin tyre?
-
• #3931
i think most halo tyres are shit
-
• #3932
Ive only heard bad things about all other Halo tyres, but the Berlins seem to have a good rep, they only come in 24 and 29c if I remember right though.

The first Halo tyres were the worst I've ever seen. One skid went straight through the outer layer down to the puncture protection.
It lasted a friend of mine 4days on the road so he complained to Halo, they sent him some with the new formula whatever they're called. So far I think he's up to 4weeks no problems.

Was it a Berlin model though? I read elsewhere on the forum that halo tyres were shit but they're new Berlin model sounded ok with a 2.5mm puncture resistant strip compared to a marathon plus 5mm strip. I was just really wondering if the strip was any stronger as the tyre would almost definately be lighter than an mplus. I'm not even sure if they are available yet...

Google says they are available and they faired well in the one review I read. Just wondering how quickly they skid through really.
