OK, I've just received some sweet 48h tandem rimz in the post... Which hubs tho'? Don't really wanna splash out on Goldtecs, even tho' I already know and love the Goldtecs I have on my Roberts... Any other contenders in the 48h hub world I should be looking at? Don't wanna spend a fortune... Got anything for sale per chance? I know someone selling some 48h Somas, worth it at £75?
Oh, and I'm taking delivery of a Pompino tomorrow... :D -

14mm axle... Need 10mm...
-
• #3715
solution...file 2mm off the axle on two sides to form two flats local to where the dropout will sit. takes time but is do-able. axle looks to be solid enough to take it too.

^ Could be slotted to 10mm but rear would also be 110 spaced so would need to squash the dropouts or add spacers inside the frame.
CRC has a few other 10mm front hubs though:

Or I have an old demolition front hub 14mm axle but factory slotted to 10mm that you can have for the pricely sum of one can of Polish beer. Might have a rear hub too but need to check on its condition first.

You could run a micro-drive setup and file your dropouts? (They are some heavily discounted hubs!)
-
• #3718
what do you do with the brake cables on a frame that has couplers?
Or slotted cable stops. Pop the outers out of the stops to travel.

We can order the HALO 48H rears and happy to do a pricematch to BLB hub prices - £40
(Hassan and Mike rate the HALO ones over the BLBs.) -
