You lot seen the St.Cago brake lever? Looks really simple - http://stcagopoloworks.bigcartel.com/product/dual-pull-brake-lever
I wouldn't say it's worth the cost. But I'm gonna see what I can do with a couple of offcuts from a local machine shop

I saw this on CRC the other day, should help with DIY dual brake levers

Ooh, thats pretty much what the St.Cago uses. The other bit should be easy enough

Yup, 4 quid for that and a piece of 8mm rod with 2 holes in seems a lot easier than machining one from scratch.

does anyone know if there are any 'armoured' brake cables, other than nokon (ie cheaper!) ?
i don't need to go round tight bends (like the nokon does), i just don't like my cables getting damaged at the lever end all the time.

At some point I think Prav was using a flexible noodle at the lever end to stop cable damage. Can't remember how successful it was/wasn't.

Nokon, not for the whole cable, but from the lever to the top-tube, then an oiler, then normal cable. You don't need to buy a Nokon cable kit, I just buy extension kits, which are 80cm of outer and 1m of inner for both gear and brake cabling. Use cable oilers to connect the Nokon to the normal outer.
Nokon Extension kit, £15 http://j.mp/9LbATo
Middleburn Cable Oilers, £5.99 http://j.mp/aX69rq (you need 5mm ones for brake cables)Oilers also mean you can squirt WD40/GT85 into the cables every so often to keep your brakes running silky smooth.

Snoops - I was aware of Lucky levers just didn't realise Rik's had that component, I thought he machined them too.
I tried a flexi noodle between the lever and the cable yesterday with little success, I couldn't get it to seat securely enough so it had loads of mushyness and wasn't very efficient.

Nice barriers is that actually Cambridge?
Yeah we have found another new court, it's literally brand new and not on any maps or anything so I think it was discovered by chance! It's a little too short for competitive playing but is perfect for lazy Sunday throw-ins
