Good to see they've sorted the dropouts though.

And slightly bigger tyre clearence.
I really like it, nothing dramatic, just good simple changes.

Looking at all the other bikes on here it seems that the Cardiff lot ride 'other' bikes. They tend to be old MTB frames with tiny (30-50") gears and long stems.
Cardiff group on Facebook if anyone's interested - http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=107736469251908

this is today the most advanceced polo frame ever built,
super strong custom made alluminuim tubes for the frame made by dedaacciai and trick 1,1/8"steel fork, double rim option, you can use 28" with 28c tyres and 26" with 40c and your ride will not be too affected. (we still have to fix its aestethical aspect, will do soon).
new 3 layers powder coat! bosses for u-brakes...
geometries developed by the APOLOGIE team nation FRANCE champions!...(from the dodici-facebook-account)

Is that really such a bad thing? Early aluminium fames did have a reputation for cracking, but that was 15-20 years ago. Nowadays with well designed tubing etc it's much less of a problem. -
• #2816
I'm guessing that Max was talking about the way that dents effect aluminium rather than its fatigue properties. Steel (or titanium) would have been a better choice to my mind.

Also, why the hell use AD990 U-Brake mounts? U-Brakes are shit on anything bigger than a 20" wheel.
-
• #2818
I had a gander at the new Apologie frame, looked pretty tidy. If it does take a beating (apparently the Alu tubing is the thickest grade you can get) then the acceleration/stiffness would be a big advantage (would travel lighter too), but yeah, we'll see.

but more importantly aren't MGM champions of france?

agreed, massive fail there.

• #2821
the EBB shell is also an un-nessessary extra expense
-
• #2822
anyone considering the BLB trick frame for polo should note the toros looked incredibly uncomfortable playing on theirs, and the handling and geometry looked really bad
-
• #2823
Agreed... needs a re-think for polo, seemed slack and unwieldy. Dale's BLB machine is much better.

Brendan, Apologie did won the FHBPC, MGM came second

Marc confused me by calling them champions then.
FBM polo specific rig, looks good! http://leagueofbikepolo.com/forum/gear/frames/2010/07/06/fbm-bike-co-polo-specific-bike-sneak-peek
