I fitted a ruption zip-back seat post - sets the saddle back about an inch, just enough for my sticky-out-arse riding position. Only cost £12.
Also dropped from 130BCD to 110BCD cranks, 155mm crank arm and 34t chainring (21t on the back). Good spinny gear. The only draw-back is the ride to the court. I might stick a gasp freewheel on the other side for this purpose, if it'll work out with the back brake set-up.
Next mod is to find a really solid straight-rake 1" ahead fork.

Mine is 26. They do a 25.4 and 26.4. (image is linked)
I'm using Gabes' old Alu forks right now - he rode them on his original polo set up, they still seem solid enough. JB has the perfect fork for those archie frames ... still hunting them down. I wouldn't mind having a look at what you have snoops.
