People using Nokon cables, can you use them in combo with normal cable?
i.e. just use Nokon for the first 20cm from the brake lever, then cheap and cheerful for the rest. -

yes prav, you can, but you need a way to connect, Em and I use Middleburn cable oilers to connect the pieces. Also handy for being able to spray some GT85 in the cable from time to time.
