Sorry to sort of spam this list but on the off chance that someone may be interested I am selling my old polo bike on another link on the forum.

Janky James rates those discs Ben, they move both pads (simply) and have loads of bite. If I was getting CX discs I would get those. (Paired with a long pull lever you'd have effortless braking, or short pull for more modulation/feedback. Enabling different pulls with an adjustable lever seems smart to me.)

Thanks Jono, coincidentally I met Janky James at the London Calling party after hearing about him for years! Some peeps have been asking me why I am going for TRP instead of BB7, more stopping power is the main consideration but also the BB7 has too many fiddly held bits (adjuster wheel on the outside seems to come loose and goes missing etc). The TRP seems much better made and much more compact too!

Oh yeah the lever I will be using are Shimano DX (yep, those old school red & black ones!). Left hand levers (just what a righty needs, lefty can flip them over) are available from CRC here for 5.99 each (bargain!): http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/shimano-dx-brake-lever/rp-prod106267
Gives you 3 settings of pull too!

Could do a better photo without the shitty stand. Use a white perro under the sadde so it's easier to 'shop out.
The bag and single-bike tees are unique random choice, so no guarantee of BEAGLESWHEEEEEL.

Looks like chicken wire.
Ben from Hebden/Portugal had some mesh/net from a lobster pot, would be lighter and less sharp edges at a guess. Harder to source in London possibly...

I just "borrowed" some green gardening plastic net from a fence and painted. You can find it in any shop like www.homebase.co.uk/

Ah! That's probably better than chicken wire.

I first saw something like it on the wheels of Mix the Japanese team at LO2012 (with Jamal,Eindhoven, subbing).
I think what they used is Gutter Netting which is 2mm thick black PE and is available in 300mm widths.

Should be building the Dolan up with front disc, thinking of trying TRP Spyre disc: http://www.fatbirds.co.uk/1613452/products/trp-spyre-disc-brake.aspx instead of the Avid BB7. Reviews (at the bottom of fatbirds' page) seems good.
Anyone wanna split the pair?
They are road/cx brakes hence are short pull but will pair them up with a DX/LX lever which has servo action and allows for 3 pull settings and see which I like best. TBH have seen short pull brakes used with long pull levers (Jono and Manu are both running this setup IIRC) and used to run the combo on my green pomp and kinda miss the sharp braking power.
