hold up, hold up - stop the bus - Woodentops got played all the time - pure proper Ibiza tune that - I think that is one of Alfredo's favourites
My all time favourite Balearic track is
Jephte Guillaume - Priye
The last song of the night at shoom
YouTube - Guillaume Jephte - The prayer (vokal)
Took me years to find this record and there it is on youtube just like that

Cheers to the new year
I love Robert Owens because optimizes the Gospel infleuence in Chicago house - he went off to start a Christain bookstore - I genuinely believe that the reason Chicago house is so uplifting is because all these guys were brought up with Gospel

British Acid House - remember seeing Peter at Eddie Richards Outer Limits in '89 just after Ford Trax was out, and his Atari ST broke down mid set, but everyone just clapped and stomped the beat until he got it back working, then brought it back in perfect time, he he! :)

Good call - Oochy Coochy was the one I remember but prefer that ^^. He made a couple of great LP's.

FIRE FIRE FIRE!!!!!! lol - had forgotten this one. I went to see Nitzer Ebb around the time - they were absolutely s**te - imagine variations on join in the chant for about 2 hours - i like repetition but ouch. Think they also supported New Order around the same time & were almost bottled off. Either loved or hated this one...

YouTube - Mr Fingers - Can You Feel It (original Instrumental)(stereo)
A repost I know but the last song of the night at Spectrum was the instrumental version of Larry Heards 'Can you feel it' - this still send shivers down my spine - this was also the first house record I bought

Goodhead - no-one knows these songs - unless they was in London or Ibiza in '87 ! I walked into Future in November of 87 on an invite from Millwall firm and half of flippin West Ham was in there - and they was listening to this
YouTube - Mandy Smith "Mandy's Theme (I Just Cant Wait)" (Cool & Breezy Jazz Version)
and I am like - oi oi - what is going on here then - that day pretty much marked the end of the football firm
Where you from in London then ? Bermondsey...;)
