I'm surprised by how vociferous the outcry has been about Vert's over reaction. And it was an over reaction, but the "fans" calling for bans and spurs to be thrown out of the europa league for such a heinous action, need to fucking wind their necks in.
I wouldn't have expected it of Verts, and Soldado got away with a swinging elbow in the first half as well. But put your forehead next to someone's face then you deserve whatever you get. If it'd been the other way around, there would have been none of this bleating and handwringing.
Get over yourselves, seriously. Verts has a long way to go before he's anywhere close to being in Suarez's league of snide, cheating shenanigans, or to be as universally loathsome as ivanovic.
In a game we were close to losing, we pulled out the win, no one talks about the goals, or the pressure, or the fact that Dnipro did just as much rolling around, playacting and generally looking to get every spurs player that made a challenge booked and/or sent off. Were time wasting from kick off, had a man sent off and still could have scored another away goal right at the death.
