didn't see the game last night was off at a gig, and supposedly Newcastle were poor, but it looks like Sherwood is figuring out how to use the players at his disposal. Adebayor's hot streak seems to be turning into a run of form, which doesn't look like disappearing soon, Capoue showed how to protect the back four and free up his other midfielders to push higher up the pitch, Kaboom and Vertonghen played together for the first time this season, hopefully the first of many games to come,
and wonder of wonders we moved into a positive goal difference position.
With everyone above us apart from liverpool and man city, dropping points, it closed up and we're still in with a shout... -

i wonder if arsenal are including a free prawn sandwich in the price of their £120 tickets for the bayern game

^ as ever with us at the moment there was clear moment of squeaky bum, and we seem to have a habit now of letting teams push us a bit early to rally around the half time mark... which isn't a fantastic strategy but it's working
Lloris was MoM because his saves were lush and they came at a stage where victory was by no means assured, and newcastle were merely average. However good wins against average and poor teams are the bread and butter aren't they.
All told sherwood's first good game in charge. Shame he can't get both soldado and ade functional... -

Juande Ramos, talks to Sid Lowe abut his time in charge of Spurs, interesting reading, especially as he seems to be saying the business side takes precedence over the footballing side..
Kind of like what happened in the summer transfer window, but different

Have you not heard? Liverpool are the big guns now. 'Day don't need no FA cup. Pow pow.
-
• #97522
god it's impossible
say were gonna win a game and everyone jumps on our backs
say we're gonna lose dittopredicting draws for every match till the end of the season seems like the only option
-
• #97523
not jumping on mikes back but to say im not bothered about the FA makes me sad its a great competition that in recent times has been shunted down the pecking order.
-
• #97524
Of course it would be nice to win it but I would take the league victory over this fixture any day
