Potential for much fun tonight but if anybody is going to win at city it is Jose. He has pretty much laid his 'not winning a trophy this season' excuses down already in that in depth interview he did with chat magazine so he Is covered for a loss. Can't wait for the excuses though.

There'll be no bedwetting here, Tim...
I'll leave that to The Great Kopite Belter of Barnet-Upon-Plastic and his whopper mates...

Waiting for Tim's match report....
First half isn't worth reporting on. Neither team played football and the goal was the only thing that happened.
Second half was much better. We pressed higher up the pitch and looked a lot more threatening. Yacob and Gera were both excellent and always looked to go forward. It was also great to see Billy Jones back in the side; he provides a great outlet on the right.
The goal was a direct result of some good high pressing from Vydra and Gera and was well deserved. Mignolet kept Liverpool in the game with two good saves from Brunt and McAuley although Suarez should have scored too.
We finished the game with more shots on target than Liverpool which is something to be pleased with.
In other news; Liam Ridgewell is still a complete donkey.

I noticed there was quite a lot of empty seats at the Emirates yesterday... any reason?
Also someone who went said someone near him complained about the noise the Palace fans were making... wow, must have thrown his crossword concentration

It just crossed my mind that forestieri might have been worth a punt by a low prem team. Championship fans opinions on him?

There have been quite a few rumblings of discontent. Plus late sunday kick off and a packed up-coming schedule...I dunno, didn't seem that empty.
The drum was the annoying thing - good on 'em, they gave the Napoli fans a run for their money

Luis Aragones piece by Sid Lowe.
Really interesting piece to counterpoint the perception of him, at least in this country, of him as an anachronistic racist..

love this bit
In the dressing room before the 1992 Copa del Rey final against Real Madrid, Aragonés picked up a bottle of Coke. "If you don't win today, I'll stick this up my arse," he shouted. "You've got to do them. This is the moment you've been waiting for: Real Madrid and at the Bernabéu. They've been sticking it up our arses for so long, now it's our chance to stick it up theirs." He pointed at the tactics board and said: "See this? Well this is irrelevant. What matters is you. Forget tactics, it's Real Madrid. Get out there and stick it up their arses!" They did, too. He returned to Atlético when they were in the second division, "hell" as they called it, and brought them back to the first. His striker was Fernando Torres. Few owed him as much as Samuel Eto'o at Mallorca; probably no one owed him as much as Torres.

Lots of strangers in the season ticket holder's seats and a remarkable number of people fucking off early. With the home run in the FA cup having now burnt up our season ticket games I'm guessing people are trying to free up a bit of cash by exchanging the less interesting games in return for the cost of the Bayern game. If you're going to duck out of a game them late Sunday kick off against Palace would be it.
I thought the Palace fans were magnificent, only ever heard noise like that from the foreign teams, but I guess if you have to watch football like that week in week out you're going to have to make your own entertainment.

Love that game. Do you play fairly or manage several teams and allow yourself to buy best players on the cheap?
-
• #96823
I played fairly.
Well, sort of, I might have increased Anfield to a 150,000 capacity to help my cashflow a little, and also updated my squad with future real life transfers, but apart from that yes.
The manage several teams thing is just a cheat too far.

Champ Man - I spent way too much time on those games.
I hope City get an early goal tonight. perhaps a dodgy penalty to force Chelsea into playing and then whack them for 6
