  • Am I the only person who feels uneasy that everyone assumes that guilt is an inevitable consequence of being charged? I'm particularly uneasy that the FA are allowed to spend almost 3 weeks compiling a 34 page charge, and give the player just 3 days to respond to it?

No he's a prick. He knew what he was doing. If you don't know the meaning of a gesture, why make it?

  • Very bad news

We need to replace him with at least a loan signing in this window

  • Saw a rumour of Nigel De Jong for you guys - would be a good loan.

Maybe Joe Allen will be forced into playing

  • ^^^^^ But what is there to respond to; it's clear he did the sign with his arms & has acknowledged it by saying he won't do it again. So he & everybody else knows he is guilty of doing it.

To be honest I'd never heard of the Quinelle until this & had no inclination when watching it that it was an anti-Semite action. But you have to assume he knew since his mate in France has had so much trouble over it.

The rules are a bit strange in that they leave it so open to interpretation about what actually is offensive - what would happen if an ethnic group or religion decided making the cross symbol was offensive to them? There would be plenty of call for it given christianities history, would the FA start banning that too (as the rules seem to suggest)?

I for one find crossing offensive. I am serious about that and have my reasons and no I wasn't bummed by a priest when I was a kid.
I wonder how many people it takes to be offended by something before it becomes offensive?

I hadn't heard of this Quinelle either but I assume that those who have heard of it know what it represents

  • Niall Quinnelle

We could loan you Leon Osman if you like?

  • Quinelle

    Quenelle

  • Fair enough, though I'm sure you knew what I meant.

    Obviously!!

If there's one thing that's crystal clear to anyone its exactly what other people mean by their posts (and gestures.)

  • Wouldn't like to be the first ref to dish one of these out at Parkhead! New Cards

  • Is Ince Sr Tom's agent, as heard that was one of the reasons he got the boot from Blackpool alongside the losing nine out of the last ten!

  • From 2012;

2013 is the year where footballers deny the holocaust
2014 footballers will make aids jokes
2015 they revert to yo momma jokes

    Close.

Paul Ince is clearly up to some dodgy as fuck shit.

  • Capoue's agent is being a total helmet, saying that Spurs wanting at least their money back for a player is Absurd. Fuck off mate.

  • Oh and I could be wrong but I have a sneaky suspicion that Chelea won't sell Mata to United but are using this as a distraction tactic, making them spend time on a transfer that wont ever happen.

  • That'd be extremely harsh on Mata who seems to be a decent kind of bloke. I think Utd have plenty of distractions as it is.

  • Mata medical tomorrow, can hardly believe that...

  • Neither can I... Madness...

  • We payed a pretty penny, but he's exactly what we need.

    Chuffed.

  • Chelsea will regret this...

  • I'm not wetting the bed, just sayin'...

  • Utd were wrong to buy Rvp when they needed to recruit elsewhere on the pitch. Same mistake this time round with mata. Panic button has been pressed

    I wouldn't agree with this.

I think you got a good price, I would have thought 40m+

And I don't know how he will get on with being trained into the ground and played in a formation with no central attacking midfielder. United play rigid 4-4-2.

You need to change formation to adapt to him, would be worth it and I think he could bring the best out of Kagawa.
