  • this liverpool/everton comparison stuff is boring as shit.

  • Don't think that's been mentioned on this thread before.

    I remember when he played against us while on loan at Blackpool about three /four seasons ago, he looked like he was destined for good things then. Bit of a slow burner though.

    Singlehandedly dragged Blackpool to the play-offs and into The Prem....with Charlie Adam as co-pilot!

    The reason why you suggest he was a 'bit of a slow burner' is cos Moyes had an obsession with Phil Neville and thought he was better at RB*

    *megalozzles

  • this liverpool/everton comparison stuff is boring as shit.

    Is it as boring as watching a Pardew team?

  • @ CP....Not really, he dived like a bitch which made it look worse

    I've said it a million times before, he's his own worst enemy too - classic Boy Who Cried Wolf

    the way eto'o moves into him... it's a foul pure and simple. theatrics aside it's fucking bollocks reffing

  • That discussion had allardyce written all over it.

  • Eve v Liv

    Gk = mignolet
    Defence = Everton
    Midfield = Barkley, Gerrard, Barry
    Forwards = coutinho, lukaku, Suarez

    That's 7 v 4? You might replace Distinct with Skrtl. Barry has been a revelation this year. And you'd need width to come from
    Coleman and Baines as Everton have been playing.

    A Kopite twining about bollocks reffing

    Where's that bleach gone?

  • I thought Matt was the only one who went to games regularly?

  • ....oh, we've been the best team to play at The Emirates this season and controlled most of the game, with Barkley bossing the midfield, getting MOM and your two so called best players(Wilshere & Ramsay) both being subbed on 60mins

    Liverpool got steamrolled in a comfortable 2-0 victory at The Emirates

    Christ, listen to yourself. We were the best team to play at the Etihad (outside of Munich) aaaaand?

    Martinez simply inherited a better squad than Rodgers. (Afterall you finished above us for the last two years, remember?) I wonder if he'll be like Wenger, who also inherited a very well disciplined back 4 which made the overall transition to attacking football easier. Lest we forget Martinez's defenses at Wigan were porus at best.

  • We were the best team to play at the Etihad (outside of Munich) aaaaand?.

    Isn't that Palace now?

  • All this nonsense chat about Liverpool v Everton just goes to prove that Man City are 1 good centre back away from having a better starting 11 than anyone else in the league. They'll win it again, everyone will be disappointed, boring.

    And how did Demichelis sneak into that team?

  • indeed,
    Citeh to win followed by Arsenal and Chelsea

    then its between Liverpool, Everton and United for 4th 5th and 6th. Spurs might be able to up their game to nick 7th off Newcastle

  • incredible that Pistanator has made 11,029 posts on this thread alone. Madness. Probably should try and go to games a little bit more... Is there a word for that? Plastic maybe?

  • And how did Demichelis sneak into that team?

    Got to be one of the worst signings of the season (although in fairness he was a bit of a desperation signing to cover for Kompany's injury). He was a bit of a liability at Bayern alongside Van Buyten, how on earth Pellegrini thought he would fare any better in the Best League in the World™ is anyone's guess.

    I wonder what the chevron / word ratio is?

  • City best XI :-

    Hart

    Zabaleta
    Kompany
    Nastasic
    Kolarov

    Nasri
    Fernandinho
    Yaya Toure
    Silva

    Aguero
    Negredo

    Can swap Clichy for Kolarov and Nasri for Navas as required.

  • irregardless

    'Irregardless'? Really? Up there with 'hence why'...

  • I think the starting eleven game for the top three is a bit redundant as they are pretty similar, it's once you get into the strength of Chelsea and Citeh that you see a difference to Arsenal.

  • tenderoni good question, shouldn't it be about who you'd take from the sub's bench as a definition of strength, rather than who has the stronger first 11..

    john h, and pisti can play at that game all day long..

    Been watching Everton home and away while you were still a little spunk bubble in your old fella's ball bag

  • And the other 11,000 odd posts are just as poetic as that. Which is why we love him.

  • Going to have a dry January but realised that means I can't play the free pints game at half time on Wednesday!

    Free hot chocolate is hardly as exciting!

  • 'Irregardless'? Really? Up there with 'hence why'...

    We can't all be as learned and erudite...

  • Looks as though we are gonna take Patrick Bamford on loan until the end of the season. I know he's been scoring for fun in League One, but do Chelsea fans really think he will be a top striker?
