  • I imagine Liverpool will be very near the bottom of that list...

    You helmet...

  • we should not forget that Chelsea have spent how much?

We should neither forget that Liverpool's "history" was bought and paid for.

  • Sam Allardyce, laughing at the Swansea player feigning injury is hilarious. Especially Swansea players reaction.

Re: Lloris, that blog was a TL:DR I'm afraid.

  • You know what I hate? You know what I haaaaate? This stupid song. I hate the beach boys.

I hate the beach boys. I hate the beach boys. I hate the beach boys. And unoriginal chants.

  • Ahh the old Liverpool Chelsea hatred resumes.

  • and we are not playing for another 2 months

  • we should not forget that Chelsea have spent how much?

King Kinky spunked £100m and Brentan has done £50m this Summer, how much do you fuckin need??

  • and we are not playing for another 2 months

We could meet in the League Cup before then.

Oh sorry, forgot about that. We can't.

  • .....or was it last Summer? Anyway, either way don't start twinin' about having no money

  • We could meet in the League Cup before then.

Oh sorry, forgot about that. We can't.

  • Ahh the old Liverpool Chelsea hatred resumes.

Actually it is not that old. Leeds and Tottenham and, to a lesser extent, West Ham and Millwall are the teams we hate of old.

  • And Coventry, obviously.

  • Swindon?

  • ^^ reference to the first line of The Football Factory, a far better book than the film.

  • Swindon?

We have not played Swindon many times - 14 in total - and not one of those in the days (Late 1960s, 1970s and early 1980s) when real enmities were formed.

  • My old mate Simon Dennis is in that ^ video...

  • He's the very pretty mixed-race bloke in a baseball cap...

  • not sure if this has been brought up before, but with all the sky brouha ha over the clashes to the big teams/ those challenging for the title/top four, does anyone (looking at chalfie) know if winning those "big games" means you are more likely to win the league. Which team has won the fewest encounters with the other teams that made up the final four places and still won the league?

Do those games which the press and the media hype insanely actually mean anything, or is it the games against the hull's and fulham's that make a season a winning one..

  • I think the real key is not to lose them whilst making sure you comfortably beat the likes of West Ham, Southampton, Everton etc.
Even a draw on Saturday would be a very good result for Liverpool.

  • A draw's always a good result for you guys, Mike...

  • mikec, I think that would be the case, but I need cold hard statistical facts, the kind that only chalfie can bring to bear..

  • A draw's always a good result for you guys, Mike...

I shan't be rising to all the Chelsea numpties who are starting to emerge from the woodwork after a midweek victory against an Arsenal reserve team.
Looking at the table so far suggests we are doing OK. We have nothing to lose as everyone wrote as off as finishing about 7th or 8th before the season started. Of course Chelsea will win it, but as long as we stay in the top 4 until Christmas I will be happy

  • I haven't mentioned last night's glorious result once, Mike...
