  • In that case, how tall would Berbatov be?

  • I think LeBron James smokes pot, didn't stop him from being the best player of his generation.

  • He's also quite tall.

  • Not sure if that's related.

  • He didn't start toking 'til he was in college...

    Makes all the difference apparently...

  • That explains things then :)

  • I'm quite enjoying the dissection of footballers performance. I do think the stats that Chalfie posted up for Huddlestone were during a period when he was coming back from injury and trying to get some regular playing time, and so show him in a bad light.

EPLindex compare and contrast Huddlestone and Delph for last weekends Hull Villa game, which was one not to watch supposedly. But it does show how with regular football Huddlestone has improved.

  • It's hardly battle of the titans.

  • yeah and from those stats - it seems like Delph has the edge in % completion/success anyway?!

  • Tom Huddleston - not even as good as Fabian Delph.

  • Will Jordan Rhodes make it to the PL?

He has to, he can't have that goalscoring record and that potential at his age without moving up. He's excellent. Why Keane saw fit to sell him without him ever getting a proper run in the Ipswich side I don't know. It was about that time I lost all faith in the way the club was run, it's only just coming back with Happy Mick in charge.

  • I think you'll need to look at his "interception" rate. He doesn't tackle, neither does Carrick, but does he make "enough" interceptions/prevent passes etc by virtue of his mobility around the pitch?
Given he's a "unit", I'm guessing the answer is no.

He could follow Giles Barnes and go to the MSL, where Giles is happy and doing well. (Which is brilliant)

he won't make it in the prem as an out and out goalscorer - those days are gone, jumpers for goalposts etc... see last four pages for explanation of the Defoe Paradigmâ„¢

  • This whole discussion could've been avoided if Jeff Hendrick wasn't Irish/Injured.

  • I think we need to hold out hope that Jordan Rhodes makes it into the top flight. Gives hope to those who are moving through the lower ranks that talent will out. I hope he gets a chance, also loving the reinvigoration of David Nugent at Leicester.
I was having a conversation on saturday about Palace's Glenn Murray, who did his ACL in the playoff's, and could miss all of this season, and how sad it was at the stage in his career, he's 30, that maybe the only chance he could get to make his mark on the premiership has been taken away..

  • and also, how is Chalobah getting on at Forest?

Got sent off on Saturday. We should cancel his loan for sullying our reputation.

  • I missed it while watching the match and on MotD2 but unsurprisingly JT was at WHL in full kit to help celebrate.

Just can't resist getting in on the action.

Yeah, it is a shame about Glenn Murray. He'd be this season's Ricky Lambert.

  • you mean last seasons Ricky Lambert?

  • I dunno. Which Ricky Lambert banged in the goals?

  • sneaky chalfie, sneaky..

  • Anyway... How did Spurs get on at the weekend?

  • David Nugent

    David Nugent is only 28?!?!?!?!
