Nah, they'll have taken it to an architectural salvage yard, it will then get bought by some boozer in Shoreditch in an attempt to make itself look "authentic". You can go look for the pub but like Ramaye said, they won't have a telly.

And C4 will commission a couple of white middle class, middle aged blokes who look a bit like one another to make a documentary about it. Starting off in the rain forest from where it came, documenting it's progress to a London pub and then onto Merseyside. Stopping to have a drink in interesting pubs, mixing with interesting locals and learning a bit of history on the way.
Possibly chucking in a few exotic forms of transport along the way. Nice Harleys' a couple of decent bikes, some seldom travelled mountainous route on a couple of yaks. A quick detour to hunt for a yeti or some lost Indonesian tribe -

Jose wouldn't have made a mug of himself in the transfer market. Can't see him losing at home to WBA either. Utd need strengthening, everyone knew that, including Moyes. Yet through their own incompetence they only signed someone worthwhile on deadline day, on top of that they paid more than the original buy out clause was 2 weeks or so earlier.
Call it what you like but Jose wouldn't have let that happen.
Um. Jose bought Fat Eto'o (32) and Willian, for no reason other than Spurs wanted him?
United have 'needed' players for years, hasn't stopped them winning stuff though has it? A big part of Moyes' appeal is no doubt that he will tow the line, shutthefuckup and not ask for much dosh. Whereas Mourinho ostracises players left-right-and-centre, builds a team full of old people, wins some stuff and then fucks off before the damage becomes too apparent. Not exactly a good long-term investment.

I'm up for that. Do I have to pretend to support Liverpool? It might be hard with my North West accent. BOOM BOOM.
One of my mates makes shit documentaries.....maybe he'll pick it up.

I know how JM feels. I often sit at work thinking "this is gonna be all fucked when they find out what I have done, hope I'm not about"

He's basically a glorified bodger.
The electrical tape of the football management world
-
• #89669
Providing it keeps the bartape in place then electrical tape has served its purpose.
There's a lot to be said about JM but it's also easily forgotten how he has overhauled the academies at Chelsea, Inter Milan and Real Madrid, sooner rather than later those changes will impact their business models and start producing first team players.
-
• #89670
when exactly will that be for Chelsea? It's been almost a decade since his first spin in Roman's blue Ferrari...

• #89671
And don't get me wrong - bloody love electrical tape.

In Chelsea's instance the academy pays for itself already. From a first team perspective I reckon next season will see an influx of academy players being selected for the first team.
Currently we have 5 players that have played in the academy in our first team squad. Next season there will be at least 3 more (McEachran, Piazon and Chalobah). I guess out of a squad of 26 players to have at least a third of those from your own academy is above average?

nice little result yesterday although i did have a bit of a panic at 15.57
i was heading back to my lucky seat ( you know the one, two seat back from the front door against the bar, my lucky 1-0 seat ) only to find they've shut the manbey for refurbishment ... 10 years or so drinking in there and finding the doors barred sent me reeling
luckily my local knowledge was enough to get me to the coach and horses ( the brith place of iron maiden ) with only 5 mins goneseems like i've found a luckier seat, now i'm in a dilema about what happens when the manbey re opens .. i guess i'll have a week or two to try out the new seat and see how the matches pan out
we played well i thought
The coach and horses is pretty rough old chap. Stick with the manby

How many of those are playing, or will play in the 1st team - even in the Carling cup? Or will they all be loaned out? In which case, it's purely a revenue stream and not something that adds anything to the club other than the break even.
I'm not trying to be antagonistic, i'm just sceptical of any big club (especially one as active in the transfer market as Chelsea) touting their youth system when those players are going to see nothing but bench and lower league premiership teams?
Mourinho hardly has a rep for blooding young players - if anything the complete opposite.

Because he doesnt have a say in what goes on. He came back to chelsea because man utd didnt want him and nobody else likes him. He's a liability.
sobs
this year could have been our year with that seat
