Read today that Gareth south gate thinks young English hopefuls like Wiltshire etc are introduced to the England team too early. Wtf is he going on about? The vast majority of international matches are against opposition on a par with lower prem league teams at best. On the rare occasion that England do face top quality opposition it is either a friendly or the game that they get sent home from a major competition. If these you testers can't hack international football then we are seriously fucked.
The answer to that conundrum is by entering the reserve teams in the football league. Valuable experience in a competitive environment whilst still being coached by and using the facilities of the PL club. Surely the reserve squads of Arsenal, Chelsea, Man Utd, Man City would benefit from playing in the Championship, providing they are good enough to get there in the first place. Just look at Spain, Germany and since this year the Netherlands.

You'd probably agree that it will be at least 9 years before they win something.

Who did Derby County get?
Leicester away
Sorry wrong cup draw, as you were.

A home win against a team that plays one division below. At least they did it in regular time, unlike the bottlers at Anfield.

Do Arsenal have enough players to put out a reserve team?

Yes they do, however ,somehow they found their way into the PL.

Notts County are in fact two leagues below.
The Nottingham side from one division below wouldn't have comfortably won in normal time.

AZ Alkmaar vs. Atromitos has been suspended after a small fire and the remainder of the match will be played on Friday morning 11.00 am. AZ were 1-0 down and playing with 10 men.

Gordon Taylor has racked up a substantial gambling debt yet the PFA stands by him. Even though he advocated a zero tolerance policy himself.
The murky world of football never stops to amaze me. -

Playing well within ourselves, two up, but no time for complacency, players are fighting for a place in the first team.
Holtby's been good, looking to link play, as has Carroll, sandro's been immense, snuffing out attacks getting the ball forward and generally being Sandro.
Townsends been threatening, siggurdson has been okay and walker has been always looking to get forward..
Nice to see we could almost play an entirely different team for the derby on Sunday. -

Lots of empty seats at WHL but the WiFi seems good Corny?

Indeed, even on current form, Arsenal will be very different team from Dinamo Tbilisi.

Last time I was at WHL there was no running water. Let's not pretend there's a mobile phone signal

Hahahahahaha
Arsenal are fucked.
Yep they won't get out that group. Napoli will take one place with Rafa the European master at the helm

Dinamo Tblisi have probably spent more on new signings though.

Yep, tough draw. Should be some good games tho, and it's better than sitting at home watching Eastenders.

Seems kaka is available from Real Madrid. Man U should be all over that...

You would expect them to be. Maybe he'll be a makeweight in the Bale deal?
(chuckles at own joke)
It wasn't much of a consolidation but it's a trophy nonetheless. Better than winning jack all for 8 years on the trot.
