So is the media going to continue fawning over Mourinho, or finally call him out on his incredible arrogance and make him realise he's not as loved as he thinks?
I suppose it doesn't matter either way, as with Chelsea he may actually be able to get the 'everybody hates us' siege mentality working again, which failed spectacularly with Real.
The only way I could grow to like Mourinho would be if he did to Johny Terry what has has done to Casillas this season.

Pretty much. Slow day on the thread too with little to no competition for attention. Today I am like Liverpool and the thread is like Stoke.

Spotted - Kolo Toure, Having a lunch chat with two chairman types today in the Wolseley, wanted to get a sly pic but never got the chance. Didnt recognise the two FA blazer types he was with.
Sparking wild rumors of Toure back to London move -

De Rossi in talks with Chelsea over a £15m move.
-
• #82743
how old is De Rossi? Have the feeling he is a bit past his sell by date. Upgrade on Lampard?
Is this the first stirrings in the transfer window of Chelsea having to win it all now, rather than giving youth a chance?
also some murmurings of Pogba wanting to leave Juve, after some of his performances for them last season, might be worth a punt...
Also Navas on his way to City, supposedly, interesting buy if confirmed, pretty sure most premier league teams are shopping in la liga for quality players at bargain prices...
Want Spurs to put their money down and get players bought and settled in before pre season starts..

De Rossi is 29 and had a pretty poor season, so is available cheaper than ever before.
They've wrapped up the deal for Van Ginkel and Essien will be coming back with Mourinho, so that looks to be the midfield berths sorted.
It will be a good bit of business from Juve. Signed for small compensation fee, possibly sold for around £8-10m - he looks good, if a bit troublesome.
I can't see the Navas deal happening and if it does, I can't see it being successful as I mentioned the other day he has a long history of severe home sickness, often struggling to play for the national team because of this. It would be a repeat of the Reyes transfer in my mind.
Heard rumours spurs were looking at Heung-Min from Hamburg, he has looked very impressive this season and would be worth a shout. I think the big question for you guys is what happens with Bale - if it were my club (it has been the last 2 seasons!) I'd want it all sorted quickly. And given how Levy disastrously operated the Modric deal I think it might be.

Can someone go and check on Pisti? Martinez is cleared to move.

Tender,
We're in the frame for a load of different strikers, think we want to bring in a finished article of a striker, mid to late 20's plus another younger one who will grow into the finished article and we could possibly sell on if they thrive.
I think we are going to be in the transfer window quite a bit, whether we sell Bale or (hopefully) don't. Think our situation is predicated on moving on some players and trimming the wage bill, jenas, bentley, livermore, adebayor, maybe parker, huddlestone, and assou-ekotto. Giving youth a chance, Carroll, Naughton, Rose, and hoping that Sandro and Kaboul come back healthy for next season..

So when will the first English manager win the PL?
-
• #82750
Harry Redknapp 2014/15.
The only flaw in your argument is the sheer preponderance of ex-Liverpool players in the media. The so called "scouse bias"
Well you managed to get Ancient History and Liverpool into the same post. Well done.
