Very strange for that to be in the public domain before christmas. Not sure if Mourinho is the answer to the problems at Chelsea. He's been found out in Spain and now he's packing in. Like Damo said, one trick pony. Liked him an awful lot as a Chelsea manager, he got more than he bargained for at Inter, loathed him at Real Madrid for his behaviour alone. That poke in the eye was absolutely disgraceful.

Team which has promoted youth, great youth set up which produces players with technique, if not heart, total control and a board which is willing to let the manager get on with their job.

Trying to think of other big clubs where he'd have a mind to going, PSG seems like a long shot, as probably does Man City, though they are throwing a powerful amount of money at their youth system..

I think some of the bigger clubs need to look to Swansea and start copying their methods, as Jaw says Michu is looking like the bargain to end all bargains and Laudrup is doing a great job, keeping them playing football which is putting to shame some of the "bigger" clubs. I don't think anyone wants to play them right now. Will be interesting to see how they get on over the christmas period, when it usually comes down to who has the most players, as to who gets the most points.

Spurs are on the up, three wins on the spin, after dropping four. We have the dubious pleasure of facing Everton (tough tough game) Swansea (see my above comments, they could put us to the passing sword like Arsenal) and Stoke (don't envy whoever are centre backs are that day against the directness and robustness of their big men). But if we are to challenge for that fourth spot, and with Chelsea in freefall now, third is up for grabs as well. Those are the games we're going to have to go and get good results.

Ps, if Mourinho comes back he won't be here for long, his template is set, he's a change of culture kind of guy, who burns too many bridges, with the media, with his bosses, with his managerial colleagues, to make a long tenure sustainable. He's with a club three/four years at most, before its too much and he's gone.

Tell you the truth I'm surprised he's lasted this long at Real Madrid.

If I had money on him going anywhere, I'd say he'd be right for PSG, lots of money, chance to win the European Cup with a team that could dominate their own league for a while.. Sounds like an ideal fit.
