I think they did try that once, but it picked up what the players said to the ref and as a result was un-broadcastable.

I do hope that the FA give us Clattenburg for our next home game - against Liverpool. It would be wonderful occasion. Either he will send off every Chelsea player and abuse them at will as he does so because he can and rules don't apply when Chelsea are concerned or he will try and buy his way back into our good books by sending off every Liverpool player and give us a couple of penalties.
