  • Pun,

that what I mean, I'm not across all the ins and outs of what happened with Benitez, but it was clear he was involved in a turf war, and wanted all the power to reside with him, he didn't trust the owners, the board weren't strong enough, he always wanted control even when he was working with a director of football, once he got control it kind of all rolled downhill, maybe the checks and balances of a director of football, may have lead to a longer stay for him.

And kept you away from getting in Roy Hodgson, the parachuting in of Kenny, his subsequent spunking of money on players who have yet to prove their worth, the acquiring of a new manager and his new mission to try to balance the books, and keep a restless fanbase happy, whilst also trying to get the team playing attractive winning football..

Obviously having had three different owners in the space of what six/seven years, its difficult to keep continuity, but hopefully that is what a director of football would/should have done...

  • I went to the evening with Rafa Benitez the other week, fairly eye opening about what went on. The infighting had made the position untenable so sacking was the only real option... then the badness came

  • european footballs big wigs are meant to be meeting this week to discuss cost cutting in football

    discuss.

you will get extra marks for clear concise handwriting and marks for showing your workings out and calculations

  • ^ not like you to offer a repost up...funny or otherwise :)

  • Did Clever Pun post it yesterday? There was a link he posted which I got an access denied error for.

That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.

  • Yeah I saw it yesterday, thought I'd get in first before you lot

  • The new Michael Owen?

Stoke City should be excited. Perhaps they should take him on straight away and stop him him wasting years in various clubs' treatment rooms.

  • Yeah I always really cringe at "the new ...." it's just really lazy journalism

  • ooops sorry
i take the blame it wasn't the telegraphs fault

  • I can't wait to hear about the new JT. Imagine that fucker.

  • Fuck, Albion aren't showing it, and I can't find working streams.

I can watch it on LFC TV at midnight, but I don't really want to wait that long.

  • Although as we are already losing it may not be a good watch.
I am going to predict we turn this around and win 4-1. For a laugh

  • you have to dl a player?

    http://www.eplsite.com/

    is just a streaming site

  • With a bit of help with firebug I managed to get this from the source code of some survey site:

    http://reyhq.ucoz.com/stream02.html

  • 3 posts up is a very good feed

  • 3 posts up is a very good feed

But you need to download the player right? Looks like it's windoze only.

  • Cheers CP, http://www.eplsite.com/stream8.html work great for me.

  • But you need to download the player right? Looks like it's windoze only.

No not at all. I would never use anything Windows related and shall take that as an insult!

  • Ok, guess the ads are confusing me.

  • Still, the whole thing annoys me, I don't pay my £40 a month to Sky so I have to go through this bullshit, show more than one game, fuckers.

  • I'm not sure why the clubs own tv channel doesn't show the game if it's not taken by one of the main broadcasters

Good win in the bag from the youngsters, Sahin's second goal was really rather good

  • Yep, pleased with that performance.

And a home draw against Swansea, Chelsea play Man U, happy with that.

  • liverpool won? wtf
