Against City, Allen's passing was exemplary. He only misplaced one pass during a first half that Liverpool deservedly led by the end of. At the end of the game, he had a pass completion rate of 93 percent. In his first two league games as a Liverpool player, Allen has only failed to hit his intended target with a pass a total of six times.
And his range of passing is not all sideways passes back and forth between the players around. In the City game, all five long balls he played across and up the field were collected by the teammate he was aiming for. Even in defeat at West Brom on his league debut, Allen made all 11 of his attempted long passes as he posted a 96 percent completion rate.
Come on Joe

I'll give you 5 reasons on why I'd ask £25m for Sturridge:
- Do Chelsea need to sell him?
- It's Liverpool we're talking here, the same club that thought £35m for Carroll was a wise investment.
- He's young and English, hence the inflated price tag.
- Man City will probably get 25% of the transfer fee.
- Chelsea will need Sturridge this year.
- Do Chelsea need to sell him?

is he any good ? is the more important question

Not good enough for Chelsea is my current thought but he'll be a good back up to Torres for this season. At £18m you'd think that Lukaku is the long term prospect for Chelsea hence why he's being loaned out to WBA to get some vital 1st team experience in the PL.
I've seen Sturridge a few times up close and it's been inconsistent but he's certainly got potential.

This Sturridge thing is just a smokescreen for the Dempsey signing that will happen in the next day or two. You watch

I think Mo would rather cut his testicles off than sell one of his best players to Liverpool.

Liverpool are looking to offload Charlie Adam and Jordan Henderson to fund the transfer of Sturridge apparently.
So just another £24m to find then.

He's dropped so many that he had to field a 17 year old. I'd be worried, very worried.
Perhaps it's a good thing that he has to field youngsters if he doesn't want to field the dead wood that Kenny signed, whether it's good for the balance sheet is a different matter altogether of course.

I think £25M is about right for Sturridge, for the reasons Jaw gave.
Why should Chelsea sell him, it wouldn't make much sense.

Sturridge has the same goals to game ratio as Steven Fletcher.
But then he has the same goals to game ratio as Suarez, Dzeko, Welbeck and Defoe. So maybe he was just a bargain...
