I'd like to say well done to Chelsea, but Clive's sore winner rants have made me change my mind.
Yes Clive come on don't be such a bad winner.
Also, I almost found myself quite liking RDM yesterday. He seems to have the right demeanour and way about him. But then I reminded myself he is Chelsea so the moment passed.
I reckon it will be 5-1 Barca in the away leg -

How are Bayern and Real any fucking better?
Cos I prefer them

I'd like to say well done to Chelsea.
Thanks, that's generous from you.
I hope the other semi wins it in the end. I hate Chelsea and Barca.
U serious?
How are Bayern and Real any fucking better?
This!
They're not, both are much worse than either Chelsea or Barcelona.
and this!
Cos I prefer them
U mad bro!

I want Chelsea to progree, I'm sick of the Baecelona wank fest it's getting unbearable. I hope Drogba spends the whole of the next game lying on the floor, it will wind the Barca players up something rotten.

i just hope the barca chelsea game is as good as last nights. thoroughly enjoyable. i couldn't give a fuck who wins the cl this season - as long as the football is worth watching

Well, I'm half German, so that's why Bayern (even though they are the Man U of Germany, if I had to stick to a team it would be Werder or BVB).
And Real have a couple of German players too, but I also really rate Mourinho as a manager. And whenever Real play Barca I want Real to win.

John
You are half English as well. By that logic you should support an English side who fielded four English players last night.

Yes Clive come on don't be such a bad winner.
We haven't won yet. If and when we do, you can be sure that I will be magnanimous.

sick of watching the best club side the world has seen or sick of people continually saying barca are the best club side the world has seen
they are on the decline though, it's now time for british football to buy back our no. 1 status in europe
come on city, come on chelsea, buy that European trophy back from the Spaniards

• #57387
Yeah they play the prettiest football in the world but it gets boring watching them pass the ball in little triangles for 90 mins going back to the keeper every 30 seconds. Barca aree still massive favourites and Chelsea could do with an early goal to ease their nerves.
-
• #57388
Barca are not boring, but it's immensely tedious listening to that clueless wankstain Tyldesley droning on about them, and especially Messi.
Oh and Bayern are much worse than just being described as the ManU of Germany.

You aren't a Liverpool fan still harking back to the 70s and early 80s are you?

No. Actually I was wrong to say they are boring, they are boring up until they get in the final 3rd and then they are immense, up until then which can be a very long time, it is boring.

• #57392
it's all in the anticipation
you just never know when the dink over the top or the little run 1-2 and goal is gonna come
it could be every minute it could be every half, but you just know it will come
they hit the post twice and fab ( oh the irony ) missed a sitter as did sanchez and xavi -

Chelsea are vastly inferior to Barcelona because they have vastly less talented players and possession stats show that to be the case. It is less easy to prove but I strongly suspect that in a 10 game league - just Barca and Chelsea - there would be a clear winner. Me, and most, pundits would have their money on Barcelona.
.
UEFA need to get their act together. Clearly games should not be judged on goals scored but on possession and on the talented nature of each sides' players. Perhaps Platini could draw up a points structure to measure that talent because possession doesn't always determine the better side.
Honestly, you really do talk a lot of tosh.

Are you insinuating that Barcelona and Real Madrid have not bought their way to their dominant position?
Indeed, didn't Liverpool buy their titles in the past?
Or did Liverpool just get them because of their "history"
-
• #57395
Jeez. The gap between top and bottom this season has not been "vast". Wigan have beaten ManU and Arsenal and run Chelsea close. The use of the word "vast" is subjective. You feel free to criticise me for my lack of objectivity but then commit worse offences while purporting to be objective by basing your comments on what you perceive "pundits" might say if they were asked.

Drogba did not dive last night. He stayed down when he was already down.
And what put him down, Clive? It's a point similar to a burglar claiming the door was open so he strolled in your house.
-
• #57397
On the day Wigan were better than Arsenal. Wigan started the season poorly but have improved. Tottenham started well but if they were to at Wigan tomorrow, Wigan would have a very real chance of winning.
-

He was generally brought down by Puyoll who had the sole task of stopping Drogba.
Your analogy in nonsensical.

- of course a more balanced view as that they defended well and got some luck and therefore got a just about deserved win against the better side.
how do you define better other than through your subjective determination?
The better side is the one which uses its talents and strategy to win. That is the purpose of the game.
Luck? Barcelona hit the post. Not luck. Chelsea cleared off the line. Not luck. The former happened because Barcelona were not on target. The latter because the defender was correctly positioned. You cannot say that a failure of talent by one side is luck favouring the other.
- of course a more balanced view as that they defended well and got some luck and therefore got a just about deserved win against the better side.

There has been some immense shite spouted by people on this forum over the years, myself included. But whoever says Barcelona are boring is clearly insane
