  • Surprised that the troll that is Corney hasn't cut and pasted this piece from his favourite rag:

    http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/apr/12/hillsborough-battle-orgreave

You don't think he's come over all Alan Davies, do you?

  • More likely he's come all over Alan Davies.

  • Thanks for the ticket Clive, I really appreciate it

  • He's probably not even a real North Londoner anyway. He has a twat look about him.

Yeah he is a twat. Wasn't he on that really unfunny chat show with that other knob, 'national treasure' Stephen Fry? He's not as big a twat as Piers Morgan, now reveling in his new-found e-celebrity status for giving it big bollocks to anyone who will pay him mind through the medium of Twitter. And gloating now we're on a superb run, after all the shit he gave Wenger at the start of the season, showing his smug face on American sports shows as a representative of all Arsenal fans, calling for O'Neill to take over as manager, he really is the lowest of the low...

  • So Libpool have now sacked Comoli, the club lawyer, doctor and now the GK coach?

They really are a joke of a club

  • fine tuning pisti, fine tuning

  • Cruyff to The Red Mickeys. Would be funnier that King Kenny. Obnoxious twerp and obnoxious club would suit each other.

  • hell, i bet even we could tarnish cruyff's reputation ( i presume it is intact currently )

  • cruyff and kk on the pitch what a pairing
    they would have made
no defence would have been safe

oh clive hows the summers £250mn shopping list coming along ? got any wishes yourself ?

  • Che;lsae are going to take Carroll of our hands for £50million

  • Yeah he is a twat. Wasn't he on that really unfunny chat show with that other knob, 'national treasure' Stephen Fry? Piers Morgan is an idiot, but he did use his editorship of the Mirror to publish one of my favourite headlines ever:

  • Why on earth would Cruyff have anything to do with Liverpool? He's a lifetime member of the board at Barcelona.

My old man met him last year - said he was a thoroughly nice chap.

Probably how Clive says that Dennis Wise is a nice chap.

  • Mind you - whilst Cruyff was a genius, Wise is an oxymoron.

  • lolz!

  • Mind you - whilst Cruyff was a genius, Wise is a moron.

    to easy

  • Denis Wise is reputed to be one of the nicest guys in football. Everyone I know who knows him, speak very highly of him. A quality act.

  • yeah but what about dennis wise clive ?

  • This is all very well but they won't like the tough physical game that we play in England.

Yes, one of the great unresolved questions, footballistically speaking, is whether Messi & co could do "their thing" on a wet February Wednesday in Stoke.

Seriously, I admire Barcelona, but this video is annoying because it suggests that Barcelona invented 343 and the use of right side 'lateral', making the pitch big when you are in possession etc, when the concepts have been around since the 50s (Vic Buckingham, Argentina etc).

  • Denis Wise is reputed to be one of the nicest guys in football. Everyone I know who knows him, speak very highly of him. A quality act.

How can anyone speak "highly" of him? I've produced bigger things after a night in Bodeans.

Besides, Mike Ashley can't stand him.

In all honesty, I've met him on numerous occasions and he is a lovely bloke. I actually wanted to dislike him because he was such a tosser on the pitch, but he was a genuinely nice chap.

  • Cruyff to The Red Mickeys. Would be funnier that King Kenny. Obnoxious twerp and obnoxious club would suit each other.

Obnoxious twerp he may be, but one of the greatest players of all time, and almost certainly one of the greatest interview subjects of all time.

    A few amongst many quotes:

**Before I make a mistake, I see it coming and then don’t make it.

**I can manage pretty well in all aspects of the game. Kicking the ball is the least important one.

    And everyone's all-time favourite:

**Listen, if I wanted you to understand it all, I would have explained it better…

    **Many more here

  • Denis Wise is reputed to be one of the nicest guys in football. Everyone I know who knows him, speak very highly of him. A quality act.

Whilst we're on the subject of great football quotes, Dennis Wise is the subject of one of my favourites, and one that has been used in many other contexts.

  • I read that nonsense about Cruyff and took it with a pinch of salt.
I reckon if we fail to win the FA cup and each of our remaining league games then KK will probably be off. Will be a very exciting summer setting us up for what could be our year, next year
