  • What Jaw said.

We don't have silence on the anniversary of Ibrox nor the Bradford fire. We don't have silence for the Leeds fans killed in Istanbul nor for the Italians killed at Heysel. 23 years is a long time. Liverpool and the FA may care to remember those sad events but the rest of us are entitled to move on.

  • What's RAWK like at this time of year? One big virtual group hug?

  • if your team had been sucessful back then clive you might have been there yourself !

  • Dicki, I went to many dangerous grounds in those days when we were penned into tiny spaces and abused by the police. Yes, anyone of those places could have turned into a Hillsborough and I could have been crushed to death. If I had, I would not want people having minute's silence 23 years later and wearing black armbands. Instead I would be happy to see that steps have been taken to ensure that nothing like it happens again. Football should be a celebration not a mawkish necromance.

People had died on many tragedies. Do we stop in silence on motorways, hotels or eaters because people have died there? Do the trains halt at Moorgate or Kings Cross to recall those who died? Why football and why this one out of many disasters?

  • Oh yes, to cap it all, the FA are now insisting on black armbands for the players. Spectators may wear them at their own option.

  • It's an argument without winners (cliveo won obviously but that's besides the point), but it's a poor one to troll on dicki.

  • Also. dicki, stop being a dick..

    What a joke.

i personally think it's a one all draw after extra time and we usually win penalty shoot outs

If I get killed on Londons roads. I want every cyclist who passes the spot to dismount and lay some flowers there every single time, without fail

  • Predictions

    Blackburn 3 - 0 Liverpool

Liverpool 4 - 3 Everton (Gerrard hat-trick, Suarez dive and penalty)

I assume this bit is rhetorical.

  • Ken Bates

    Electric Fences

    Indeed.

One positive was that they were never switched on but Bates was (and remains) bonkers and showed then a lack of respect for supporters that has forever endured.

I remember being horribly crushed at the Vetch Field in Swansea and then again at Grimsby. Both times the crush was caused, to an extent, by the netting placed around the ground. On both occasions the police acted to make things worse rather than better.

  • I assume this bit is rhetorical.

    Correct.

  • Jaw, I'd love to say I'm excusing 'Arry, but I don't have that much faith in him. I'm happy about the great run we had up until the new year, but I've never thought of 'Arry being the man to push us on, but he deserves some praise for getting the team to where it is...

If we scrabble home in a champions league place, leaves us on good footing for next season. But Newcastle are pushing hard and have a striker in Cisse and a creator in Ben Arfa who are hitting a purple patch, and Chelsea are still in the chase, so the pressure is on us to produce, and I'm not sure we will. Fingers and toes crossed though...

Over performed and blessed with no injuries and huge scoop of luck.
couple of knocks and you go down like a scouse bar maid, no mental strength and too many flouncy players.

Harry can play the nice football and he has been lucky with the form of a few key players.
Enough to deserve 4th but the reward being the exposure of your squad. remove Harry and i can see next year being a shocker.. i can't see Newcastle doing what they did this year again, i also see chelsea having a luke warm year next year when they refresh the squad. no need to mention the Pool as we are talking about top clubs..

    Gunners for the taking really.

  • I only wish that Celine Dion had been a passanger.

  • hey we agree on something ^^^ aimed at pisti
