I expect this to be the final match of KKKs reign. If I went to work every single day and failed time and time again, I would be disgusted at myself for not resiging

Sick of commentators using the same 10 adjectives for everything.* Guilt edged* opportunity, he tackled him emphatically there. He needs to be a little more clinical here

Chelsea beating the offside trap, by being offside. Well played the linesman

We've hit the woodwork again and played pretty much in Villa's half, both halves.
Interesting stats: We've hit 30 more shots than Man U and scored 40 less.
The player that has made the most tackles for LFC this season is.................... -

Lucas Levia!!!
Right I'm off out to buy brake hood covers. I'm sure the next I'll hear is that we've dicked them 3-1, right?

How did Chelsea win that game...

• #56265
Just on the way back from the game. We played rather terribly. Sturridge was especially shit.
With torres coming on in the second half he helped spur the team on a bit. Hate to say it but essien is pretty much finished...
We struggled without Ramires, terry, lampard and cole. -

Great result for Liverpool. A point against Villa keeps alive their hopes of a top ten finish. King Kenny is on fire.

Yes a very good result. I believe we have turned another corner now

Indeed. You have turned so many corners that you back where you started from. And when I say"you" I do so loosely.

We're shit, and we're going down.
Fingers crossed. Although we will miss the easy 6 points we get from you.
Although 0-0 it was a very entertaining game at Pride Park this afternoon. Another point, another small step toward mid table obscurity.

We've got more fucking corners than a polygon and just as chaotic
Still. We have to win eventually and I think you, me and the plastic Evertonian know when that will be -

Platini wants to get rid of the Europa League, and double the size of the Champions League from 32 to 64.
The big leagues wouldn't get extra CL spots (so 5-7 wouldn't get anything), it would simply give the smaller countries more spots (and automatic spots for the ones that don't have them).
While it's clearly not good for the big 4 leagues, and there is a risk the quality of football in the CL will be reduced, I think it's good idea, simply because everyone is then in the same boat, none of this dropping down to the Europa League bollocks, and takes us a bit back towards the spirit of the European Cup.

Think you've got the wrong end of the stick there. It would mean that the money from the CL gets distributed more evenly and it would allow the so called smaller teams to become more competitive, more importantly, it would also be one step closer to a European League. Not sure if there would be many people turning up for Man City vs Helsinki on a CWWN in Manchester though.

The linesman at the Chelsea game yesterday had a blinder. If you are that incompetent you should never be allowed near a football pitch gain, or preferably, shot

john h bollocks to that.
champions league should stay as, entry to champions league goes to winner of europa league. No parachutes from champions league into europa. Then maybe you'd get teams playing harder to squeeze into the top two spots.. Also a bit more randomness in the groupings, with less regional/league bias. Who wouldn't be for barca playing real in the group stages, or arsenal having to put utd to the sword to get out of their group...
So frustrated by this match. Sunderlands unwillingness to engage in a meaningful match and looking to stifle and contain and snatch something on the break, and of inability to impose some tempo and intent on the game. Even now with 70 mins gone we're content to stroke it around the back four without commiting or beating any Sunderland players, so there's no space further up the pitch where you need there to be. One moment of magic will steal this game, or a defensive slip. But my monies is on a nil nil..
