Hertha Berlin have just sacked their coach Michael Skibbe, after 5 games in charge, he lost every one of them, finishing with a 5-0 loss to Stuttgart, and a 1:12 goals record.
It cost them 900,000 euros to hire and fire him.
West Brom should consider themselves lucky with Woy.

Poor taste, but I've come to expect that from Liverpool fans over the years...

gotta agree with MikeC a bit here. The media are the worst for amplifying shit and helping cause a storm and then pretending that it has nothing to do with them. Doesn't mean Suarez and Liverpool haven't dealt with it in a bad way but it's true nonetheless. When apologies are served it kinda makes everything that went before it seem futile......why didn't you apologise quickly and save all that followed? I should imagine that it is making quite a few old pros very uncomfortable as there was obviously a lot of this type of racism on the pitch between players not so very long ago and if people are making a fuss about it now I'm sure several household names could be tarnished very quickly.
All great entertainment though and let's face it .....it's show business fellas -

Still, it's the only way that United and Liverpool will be talked about in the same breath this season. Eh?
looks forward to next season

West Brom should consider themselves lucky with Woy.
why? Over the last 6 or 7 seasons we have grown a deserved reputation for playing very fast attacking football in the style of Arsenal on a much lower budget. We were one of the first, if not the first promoted team to come up and attack even though we kept getting relegated again. We have the best squad of players we have ever had and can match Newcastle no problem. Nobody is screaming for Woy's head but many are upset with the brand of football on display too often this season. His tactics can be awful and his use of substitutions is beyond belief. When people have stopped patronising Albion because we should be lucky to be where we are they might wish too consider what type of football they want to pay to see week in week out. If memory serves me right Liverpool treated Woy with contempt (notice the difference in style between the two sets of fans) and hounded him out so they could replace him with somebody else to help them finish in 8th place, waste millions on mediocre talent and tarnish the image of a club even further. The reality is Liverpool would have been better off with Woy not us

I don't think it's post-match arrogance, I think it's the kind where you forget how lucky you are to be in the Prem at all and then start having unrealistic expectations.
none of our 'achievements' in recent years have anything to do with luck. We are a superbly run club from top to bottom and we've worked hard to get where we are by playing football in the best possible style on limited resources. It isn't unrealistic to expect this squad to be playing a better style of football week in week out. Our league position is fine but it could be better and the whole point of being paid large sums of money is to achieve your maximum potential not sit back and 'feel lucky'. I expect that we will be back in the championship within the next five years regardless of the style of football we play so why not reach for the stars? I don't know what happened to Ipswich but it's a shame that yet another club blew itself up.
As you can see i have a week off. -

But, dicki, Xander and jaw can do no wrong on this thread. (Slain is an exception to this rule). Anyway, the injunction "dicki don't be a dick" was too good to miss and may well be used many times in the future.

^^I think in this day and age if you have a superbly run club from top to bottom then you're already better off than 95% of English football fans. If you're sitting comfortably in the Premier League and winning 5-1 away against your most bitter rivals, even better. Playing nice football with better tactics as well seems like it would just be the icing on the cake.
I can see where you're coming from I suppose, I would much rather watch a team playing nice football than winning by hoofing it up all the time. But there's a limit. The best way to look at it would be, how do you think it would feel to be a Wigan fan at the minute?

the exception to the rule Joe. A compliment surely? Oh , I see what the rule is.

• #51548
Well I used Wigan as an example because they do play decent football which seems to be getting them nowhere. Same as Bolton under Coyle actually, although they seem to be losing that as well.
I'm not really sure what my point is, I definitely agree that playing football is the way to go.
I guess all I really mean is be fucking glad you're not an Ipswich fan, even with Woy things could be a lot lot worse.

• #51549
wigan aren't where they are because of their style of football, they just aren't very good at it after losing a couple of very good attacking players

good point. moan over.
The wanky Guardian journalists are still going on about it
It was shocking to witness the Uruguayan refuse the Frenchman's hand.
Yeah really fucking shocking. Like watching someone get run over or battered and stabbed by a gang of youths. Get some perspective you lilly-livered cock suckers.
Someone PM when all this bs is over and done with. I am >>>>>>>
