"I have spoken with the Manager since the game at Old Trafford and I realise I got things wrong. I've not only let him down, but also the Club and what it stands for and I'm sorry. I made a mistake and I regret what happened. I should have shaken Patrice Evra's hand before the game and I want to apologise for my actions. I would like to put this whole issue behind me and concentrate on playing football."
How's everyone trying to defend him over the last couple of days going to spin this one? Unfair media pressure forced him into an apology he didn't need to make? Ridiculous PC Britain forcing us to be nice to the darkies?
The headline should be 'Cunt has brief moment of lucidity, realises he's a cunt' -

Did no one else think evra dropped his hand lower to avoid the shake, as suarez approached?

Marginally off the current topic but here's a little something I made with 90's football fans in mind..

the world is such a beautiful place

That'll be that for Mick McCarthy then.

Still think Woy should be wemoved from his wole?
-
• #51509
God yes. that type of result makes it hard to justify not liking him but at the end of the day our squad should be turning over teams like wolves. or is that just post match arrogance? Really, the football has been dull and then just when things look gloomy we go away from home and turn on the style

with wumours of Moyes for Everton... woy could go there?
-
• #51511
looks like Woy finally listened to me and reverted to 451. My years of experience on football manager are hard to ignore.
Woy to Everton......dreams are made of that stuff -

Tottenham v Newcastle yesterday was the kind of game where I wanted both teams to win. Today I'd quite like City & Villa both to lose. I can see another 5-0 though, to the away side this time.

I think that's really harsh to be honest, but I'm not really one for sacking managers willy-nilly unless they're Roy Keane. I think he did a great job keeping you up last year, and to be 8 points away from the drop zone and looking like a decent mid-table finish this season also isn't bad for team who've been a real yo-yo side in the last few years. I don't think it's post-match arrogance, I think it's the kind where you forget how lucky you are to be in the Prem at all and then start having unrealistic expectations.
Ipswich did the same with Jim Magilton because we were 'only' 8th, even though were were playing decent football at the time and he was a proper Ipswich man, albeit quite a hot-headed one. Since then we've had Roy fucking Keane and a new CEO who knows fuck all about the club and football in general. A bit of mid-table Premier League stability under a well-respected manager who's a nice guy to boot would be a dream. -

Fuck me about time. Maybe we can all stop wanking off other the Suarez thing now and concentrate on other things. What will the media talk about now?
-
• #51515
Yeah, cos this was all the media's fault, wasn't it?
-
• #51516
I hate to say it, but it really looks as if Wilshere's going to lose that bet. I might have to leave the country. When was the last time?
-
• #51517
Good of Kenny to finally realise he's acted like a fucking knob though. Hopefully it won't be too long before everyone else who's tried to defend the indefensible does too.
-
• #51518
Yeah, cos this was all the media's fault, wasn't it?
It was made into a really big deal, which in the grand scheme of things means nothing
-
• #51519
So, we're looking at the Racist vs the Media conspiracy. Rather than another routine win for United against Liverpool?
Good deflection tactics there.
-
• #51520
mufc were better on the day and deserved the win, but given recent form I think routine is rather misplaced
The football was hardly talked about in the coverage.. so they made a big deal out of it all no?
-
• #51521
It's routine to win against Liverpool. Their record is, last 6,:
Record (W-D-L) 4-1-1 5-0-1 4-1-1
That's total, Home, Away. There's, to quote Bill HIcks, A BIG FUCKING DROP OFF between second and 4th.

Zambia keeper was a bit of a dickhead there after Drogba's shit penalty
-
• #51523
Awesome that Zambia won though, given the history
-
• #51524
Yeah I was really happy too. Some great pens as well, before all the shit ones.

Gervinho - the Ali Dia who never got found out.
Which is against the law almost everywhere.
I bet JT would get away with it though.
