While I would have been more amused than offended if an opposing player made such a gesture towards me, it is the rank hypocrisy of Liverpool (once again) that really offends me.

Remember the League Cup final in Wales where we beat Liverpool after a stunning strike by Gerrard brought us level. Mourinho's first trophy. Liverpool were given the seating behind both dug outs and their "fans" spent much of the game abusing Mourinho. When Gerrard netted for us and we, the Chelsea supporters started cheering to celebrate the goal, Mourinho put his fingers to his lips in a gesture (not an obscene gesture) to tell the northern hordes to be quiet.

Mourinho was charged and punished for that gesture. To hear the complaints from the whiners of self-pity city after the game, you could have imagined that Mourinho was solely responsible for the murder of James Bulger and the kidnapping of Madeline McCann. After that behaviour, they should indeed, as Mourinho suggested, be quiet and allow Suarez to take his punishment.

[Having just read that back, I do of course realise that Madeline McCann went missing in Portugal and that Mourinho is Portuguese.]
