Love the text update on teh BBC - scored from long way out in middle of goal - Why didn't we buy the yank?? at 40 is still better than the rest of the goalkeepers in our squad.

Wow that was shit.
AA23 was playing right?
Not having Scezny in the goal, makes the defence turn to pannacotta. I would've played a tighter three in the middle of the park, I couldn't work out what formation we were really playing. Eh, oh well it didn't matter for shit. -

Andre Santos is a piece of shit, much rather play Miquel there.

Miquel is a class act, if they were prepared to blood Jenkinson why not Miquel?
i thought Wenger had a youth project he was proud of???
Santos is only good going forward, too easily beaten

I just had to go back on this thread and check when the cycle supersmurfway started playing football and had any sort of sexuality. Anywho.
I am still happy after West Ham.

Just got a last minute invitation to the Chelsea game this evening....
Come on Valencia!!!!
Hope you enjoyed the game.

That was a wonderful performance. Drogba and Cech were immense. Terry and Luis strong and secure. They all played like a team following a plan. Result and well done Genk.

Solid performance tonight. Thought Ramires played well again.
Oriol and Meireles lost too much possession throughout the game.
It's all good and well playing a pressing game but if you haven't got the midfield to control the game it's all a bit pointless.
Drogba indeed played good and took his goals very well.
Sturridge is starting to look like the real thing, great awareness, touch, control and vision. Just a shame he's getting into the England team as Chelsea will end up paying more money to City. -

Fully paid up member of the prawn sandwich brigade then, Tim?
If I had to pay, I certainly wouldn't choose to go and see Chelsea!
Highlight of the night; Holly Willoughby. She sat in the seat behind me for about 40 mins of the second half. Much, much more attractive than she looks on the TV.
Lowlight of the night; Christine Bleakley. She was next to Holly and looked even worse than on the telly.
Apparently some football was played but I must have missed that. Thought the game was average and that both teams wasted possession. A couple of first class touches from Drogba though.

Impossible - there aren't any. Apart from Nelly Furtado.
Did she look like Cristiano Ronaldo?

Both, but Mannone's attempt to kick away a shot when he could have used his hands has to be seen to be believed.
actually saw this as was meeting markyboy in the effra. normally a jazz band playing a beyonce cover would be the funniest thing in an evening. but no, arsenal's third string keeper had other ideas.
he could have caught it. but he lost his bearings. and if that wasn't fail enough having decided to kick it he missed it.
the beautiful game

The food and wine is clearly MUCH better in Spain - FACT. .
Please enlighten me, when/where was your last time here (in Portugal), eating, partying, etc, guided and advised by locals?

You should have.

Wouldn´t expect this from you Paul... thought you knew better.
I dare you to visit a Lisbon beach, one of the hundreds available here, in july.
Then we can talk, ´til then talk of what you know. -

Nelly Furtado can fuck the right off. She looks like a Drag and she´s hardly Portuguese.
You can keep her. -

See Chelsea thankfully scrapped through against second rate opposition yesterday.
That picture of the mighty Pool having a quiet word with the ref is class. Bellamy looks like a demented dwarf. Part of KK's reign is to be more aggressive towards the refs, he pretty much said as much, that they were going to adopt the same attitude as Utd, Chelsea et al, as being nice gets you no where.

Valencia are four points behind Barcelona with a game in hand. Far from second class opposition. We also won 3-0. I seem to recall a 2-1 being described as a "thrashing" fairly recently. We also topped the group.
How did Liverpool do in Europe?

They ought to organise a competition for clubs who are not in Europe. They could call it The Full Members Cup or something like that.

Can't believe you actually bit Nuno!
I went to Faro a couple of years ago and was advised by a local to eat in a certain restaurant. No salted cod in sight, just terrible steak. We tried another one the following evening (upon the advice of another local) that was allegedly "famed" for chicken. It should have been "notorious for how bad chicken could be" - either seriously undercooked or unrecognizable as chicken.
The beaches were filled with "ladies of the night" who were nothing more than hunch-backed, toothless, moonlighting dinnerladies and all looked like they'd seen far better days. To top it off there seemed to be a SuperBock drought and the wine (a selection no less) was mouthwash.
Don't take it personally though - that was just the experience that I had there. This weekend I got a fantastic sounding recipe from a pal from Lisbon for roasted octopus.
Leave Nelly alone - you know you would.

Mind you, I have met Mr Mourinho and have to say that he really is a very nice bloke.
-
• #46074
He's shorter than you'd think isn't he?
I bumped into him in Harrods about 4 years ago. -
• #46075
A Fulham fan in Harrods. Who would have believed it.
"We all shop at Sainsburys"
Incidentally.. Liverpool have decided not to appeal against last nights red card.
