I was thinking perhaps Blake and Amy. Or Sid and Nancy
I have already had one person ask me if they are identical (knowing there is one of each, I might add) I read this might happen, but didn't expect it so soon. They really do walk among us don't they?

Good choice.

know we need strikers, and mata is a hot name right now, young enough to grow with the team, but I'm not sure whether this is my usual spurs pessimism coming through, but looks like we are just putting in a bit of a cheeky bid, to force Arsenal's hand, who are doing a Barca in this and other instances, Jagielka comes to mind in trying to get players on the cheap...

anyway if he comes I'd be over the moon.. Just need to start getting rid of the dead wood and hold onto modric..

Or outside the bottom three.
on another note, first night out of my new flat and leyton played spurs in a pre season friendly. attendance near 4000 with 1000 spurs fans. score 1-4. Would have been good to see that as spurs put out a strong 11.

Football can piss off. We haven't had a recognised left-back since December 2008 and yesterday our dimwit chairman proudly announced signing one is no longer a priority, even though a month ago it was the first thing on his to do list. Instead we've signed George Boateng >>>>>>

^just put in a bid for marek cech or Joe Mattock please
-
• #37660
Joe Mattock?
Horrible human being, wouldn't want him anywhere near my club
-
• #37661
gerrard out till spetember at least. good news for liverpool then
-
• #37662
Joe Mattock hasn't figured since getting put on his arse back in feb 2010 by Maynard at bristol city. He thought he was God's gift to left backs and swaggered around until Maynard blew him away and since then he's been in the reserves. Sadly he's another example of a player willing to do just that rather than move on and take a wage cut.

Sid and Nancy are wonderful names. Go for it.
I always liked the idea of "Malice" for a girl.
MrsO has a twin brother and is often asked if he is identical. He is not. He "supports" Citeh.

Yeah, was to be expected. Still, it's not like we are short of midfielders.

Pot Six: WALES, Liechtenstein, Iceland, Kazakhstan, Luxembourg, Malta, Andorra, San Marino
Hehehe

^Tough draw

Torres has scored for Chelsea, against Villa.
Meaningless pre-season friendly though.

So England got Montenegro, Ukraine, Poland, Moldova, and San Marino.
Could have been worse I guess, we should win every game, but it's annoying that they are almost all quite far away. I don't know why Montenegro were in pot 2, I guess they must be better than I thought.
Group B looks tough, with Italy, Denmark, Czech Rep and Bulgaria.
France, and Spain in the same group is tough, with only 1 team guaranteed to go through.

Pot Six: WALES, Liechtenstein, Iceland, Kazakhstan, Luxembourg, Malta, Andorra, San Marino
they have got to do something about this before they can seriously ask clubs to make sacrifices for the national team. I mean, come on , why are these nations not in a separate league? it would be interesting to see which teams from pot b would be able to survive in the prem let alone this shower of shit. International football is a joke and should be treated as such. No more 2 week training camps for the players to get to know each other, no more friendlies in the season. enough I say, enough.

I agree it really should be a similar system to the Davis Cup in Tennis, where countries are promoted and relegated depending on results. There is no point us playing San Marino...

John
There is every reason to play San Marino.
First, it is the World Cup. Every nation is entitled to play just as every side can start out in the FA Cup.
Second, it provides huge revenue to minor FAs.
Third, qualification depends, often, on not only beating sides such as San Marino but on the margain of such victory.
Fourth, it is always a good laugh to see Engurland draw or lose against such sides.
Ace news!
