Also Arsenal have missed out on Ricardo Alvarez, who according to Vickery looks like he's going to be quality. They really are fucked.
Us on the other hand, were after Bolo Zenden. POW!

Fantasy players like Adam will always be enjoyable to watch, but they are, in the age of fitness regimes and possession football, best left to the fantasists. Actually, maybe he’ll fit in well at Liverpool'[/I]
If he is seen as a good passer of the ball I don't get this. Where would that^ comment leave Arteta*?
*apart from the treatment room of course
Adam isn't fit to clean Arteta's boots! It's like comparing an Aston Martin Vantage with a Fiat Punto
And the bit I was referring to was:
.....*best left to the fantasists. Actually, maybe he’ll fit in well at Liverpool'*

Comeback Platini please. Multi Grooves used floored when he meant flawed, and 14winters did the same. This thread is going to the dogs.

He's just doesn't fit in with Liverpool's current money ball template. He'll add nothing, but he got his dream move so...

impact player to come off the bench after 60 mins ?midfield of lucas gerrard and adam would be a nice balanced mix of attacking defensive passing shooting brilliance

60 minutes of brilliance then 30 minutes of brilliance.
Have Everton got a player who can produce 90 minutes of brilliance?
In one game?
In one season? -

Stevie Me's croaked. He's not going on the Pre Season tour in order to be ready for the league season. He won't be up to speed. My bet is the groin will go again before xmas. it's a really tough injury to come back from, especially the way he plays.
It's just not clear how Liverpool are going to line up come the start of the season. I'm going to reserve judgement until October at least though.
I also don't see why the squad is being made so big this year. Liverpool as a a team won't play more than 45 games this season.
3 more Targets for Kenny now. CB LB and LW. Downing, Dann, and someone else? Who would you hope for Clever Pun et al.

A couple of Opta Stats
29.6% - Charlie Adam's shots-to-goals conversion rate after the close of the January transfer window, compared to 7.7% Aug-Jan. Contrast.
7 - Charlie Adam scored more penalties than any other PL player last term (7) & also netted twice from direct FK's. Threat.
He's got something to him. But Blackpool are no Liverpool.

on combined weekly wage of 150,000
i think not, although it would be good business for us
Purely paper speculation, United have bigger fish to fry. They're looking for a world class replacement for Scholes, who have Liverpool replaced Alonso and Mascherano with? Two players who were in relegation battles last year.
In contrast United are after Sneijder who's won the champions league and played in a world cup final. If Liverpool want to get back in the champions league by following the Tottenham model they're going to wrong way about it because Adam is no Van Der Vaart and Henderson isn't fit to tie Modric's bootlaces.
