Citeh paid buckets for Tevez. No Argentinian team can reimburse them even a small fraction of that nor could they hope to match his wages.
He is stuck in Manchester for a while. Poor chap.

But Citeh are a massive football team.

Only because no one can leave.

Shouldn't have signed such a long contract then shouldn't he... oh wait, I guess he wanted the money at the time. Can't have your cake and eat it.

you can't put a price on a bad attitude in the dressing room. Especially if he's your captain.
Eto'o at Barcalona is probably the most clear case of this. It doesn't matter how good Tevez is, if he doesn't want to be there, he'll bring the whole team down.
Pep saw that Eto'o wasn't happy and let him go for a remarkable deal, but that's what it took for him to go.

Considering City bought him, that's cheap... they usually get fleeced in the market. Not that they care until the financial fair play rules come in

everything's aimed toward FFP.
The main reason why dead wood went out on loan last season is so that they can offset all their deadwood transfer fees against FFP this year. Hopefully they can't sell any of the big ones, and have to heavily subsidise their wages again.
They've now got 4 LB's on their books, and none of them great.

Bridge isn't that bad. Mind you, he isn't that good either. Ask his ex.

Yeah but he's shit. Atleast Baines is safe with us
-
• #36565
If by safe you mean "won't achieve anything in his career if he stays with us", yeah he's safe.

He only had a year remaining on his contract, so I think £7m is a lot to be honest.

Safe as in City aren't sniffing around him any more
Plus, he's in all our new press & marketing photo's of teh new kit. Sadly, Fellaini isn't :-(

• #36568
Maybe he's safe because he's not very good?

In other more hilarious news,
Owen Hargreaves has launched his very own you tube fitness channel

- Owen Hargreaves Training June 30/11[/ame]A bit like Little Mickey Owen. I wonder if Sir Alex will fall for this one again.

Yes, Baines. Didn't he havesettling issues and self belief problems when arriving? perhaps that's what has put the bigger clubs off. talentaside, as hehisgood.
-
• #36572
I think Hargreeves is worth a punt, he's quality if he can stay fit, Fergie included him in the pl squad for the first half of the season even though he was injured which says alot, get him on a pay if you play typen contract and include him in the squad if he makes it through pre-season.

• #36573
lets play spot the idiot.

Just a German Everton fan in. Waffling on about Baines and wait for it - Joey Barton.
