Sorry to harp on about this but a lot of those players were brought in by Rafa and his reworked youth team set up- something he deserves credit for. Unlike a Mareen-he-o he spent a load of the money he made (from sales) trying to sort this out.
What is the word on Pacheco??Oh, absolutely, Rafa's legacy will live on for years thanks to the work he did in bringing in youth, and setting up a system for the future, but a lot of the credit now has to go to Jose Segura and Rodolfo Borrell (though of course would they have ever joined us without Rafa being there).
Borrell gave an interview after the game, and it was amazing how much he sounded like Rafa (and I don't mean because he's got a Spanish accent).
Regarding Pacheco, he's been on the fringes of the first team for a bit over a year now, has played 5 games, mainly in Europe, but none under Kenny. He has just signed a new long contract, and as he's just turned 20 you would imagine he only has a couple of seasons now if he's going to make it, otherwise I see us cashing in on him, and selling him for a couple of million to a mid table Spanish team, like Gonzalez and Pongolle.

Oh Chelsea....

Chelsea might still stop United winning the league this season, but at this rate it'll only be for Arsenal's benefit.
Speaking of whom, anyone spot a note of hypocrisy in Wilshere's recent comments that Arsenal need to 'be nasty' and 'get in the faces' of those annoying tiki-taka Spaniards?

That's common for all clubs btw, not just Liverpool.
I remember watching Forest play Everton in the FA youth Cup. Wayne Rooney, Michael Dawson, Jermaine Jenas and Andy Reid all played, but a certain Brian Cash looked like a superstar in the making. He's now playing somewhere in the Irish leagues whilst some lad called Wayne Rooney is playing for some team in Manchester whose fans are all Irish.

We all know of a player that seemed head and shoulders better than their peers and you'd bet your life they'd be the one to make it and it turns out to be someone else. I thought Nigel Quasie was better than his cousin Rio F.

The quote is:
*We'll learn from last year. When we've got the ball, we've got to keep it as well as they can. We need to get in their faces and win the ball back and, if you like, be a bit nasty with them.
There's no point one of us going after them. We have to press as a team and get the ball back.*
Hypocritical? Dunno, I don't recall Wilshere coming out & saying that he sick of getting kicked. I do recall seeing him go up to a wall of Wigan players at a free-kick, and trying to push some of them out of the way so he could stand in the wall. They were all about 6 inches taller than him, so he clearly isn't frightened of fronting up.

Nigel's not related to Rio. Sir Les is though. As well as that useless cretin Anton. Anton's a good championship player at best and Rio will always be known as the bloke who "forgot" to take a drug test because blood boosters were the last thing flying round his body.

On a positive note, my bike wasn't stolen and my ride home was really enjoyable.
All over them. Couldn't score. Not good.

Did Torres miss a hat-trick last night?
yep
It's strange to be a little disappointed about getting a point from a game we deserved very little from (not that Chelsea did either, they were toss too). Dempsey is FFFUUUUUUU.
To Malouda after skying it into the Putney end.
"Are you Torres in disguise?" -

To Fulham:
"We don't hate you
We don't hate
We don't hate
Cos you're shit" -

What was the deal with singing Liverpool's Torres chant? That was a bit embarrassing
to be honest. Irony everywhere. -
• #29447
Its because the Liverpool Torres chant was ace!
Bounce!

were the chelsea fans still calling him " liverpools no. 9 " ?

Torres is shit/not fit
That's what I was thinking too, but he's been playing for nearly 2 months now without injury so he should be on top of his game...
He does seem to have dropped a yard of pace which was a big part of his game. I'm still hoping he terrorises Vidic though

Well played Fulham.
